    New 2015 G23

I ordered this 2015 G23 a month ago and the last day to make changes is in a few days. I would welcome any suggestions. I went with mostly white because we have hard water and the water spots can be a lot of work to clean. With white the water spots do not show as bad. We have six kids and needed a bigger boat.

Duke, looks good. Man, you are getting it fairly loaded. The only thing I would comment on it the price/performance of the OEM tower speakers doesnt justify IMO if you are willing to depart from an OEM setup. Other offerings (WS Rev10s, JL 7.7, 8.8s, Exile etc) perform better for the same or less $$ if your dealer is willing to play ball and do some of the labor. I couldnt justify the price of the fixed fire supression vs a $35 extinguisher. Else everything looks good. What are you doing for a trailer specifically?

I like it. I ordered the heated seats in addition to the heater. The heated seats are actually more effective at keeping you warm--and includes the observer seat starting 2015. I agree with nyryan re: the stereo. When do you take delivery?

          Great looking boat.

+1 on getting the base stereo and going aftermarket on the tower speakers, amps and subwoofer. Take a look at the show off your Natique if you want ideas. I posted some pics there a few weeks ago.

I also went with Lifeform9 underwater lights. I was not sure about the new ones Nautique offered but have seen plenty of pics of the Lifeform. NyRyan posted some last Summer which is what sold me

Comes with an Extreme trailer with 18 inch wheels. My 230 had an Extreme trailer and I was very pleased with it. Great suggestions on the tower speakers. I will take another look at those. Thanks for the input. very excited to get it here. should arrive mid March.

I checked out the lifeform9 lights. Very nice. In 2015 the OEM underwater lights are 15 times brighter then in 2014. I was on the water in November in another boat with the new lights and was very impressed. Only comes in white from Nautique. That is a drawback if the water is not that clear. It just looks dirty. Thanks for your input.

I think that if you go on the gray seat boxing, then go gray Seadek too. You now have black on the dash, white gelcoat, gray seat boxing, teak color on the flooring, and blue piping on your interior. It starts to look busy. I personally eliminated the gray seat boxing and went white as well.

I thought seat heaters were gay, until I sat in one on a cold day. They actually work, so I ordered it as we like to lengthen the season as much as possible. Kids also seem to find a way to be cold any time of year.

Echo the stereo thoughts, but you have to have the guts to go with something that is not made by Nautique. Some people just want it to look all stock.

Unless you live with your boat on a lake, the platform cover is something that I bet most people don't use. I pray that you are not buying a 6 figure boat and storing it outside in the sun all day (unless it is on a lift).

Decisions, decisions....it's a great problem to have!

Thanks for your thoughts. I will look at your color suggestions and I will reconsider the heated seats. I live in Arizona and it is 72 degrees today in January but the mornings can be cold. For the money, the heated seats are not that big of a deal from a cost perspective. Still struggling with the tower speakers. I had Wet Sounds tower speakers on my last boat and they were great but I like the look of the Nautique speakers. I only get two because we are all tall and hitting your head on the speakers gets really old. FYI I have a garage to keep this boat in. the platform cover was cheap and it will keep the dust off. thanks again for your input.

I went through a lot of these decisions a few months ago. I wanted to get four Rev 10 speakers BUT I did not want to hit my head when walking around the boat. I love the pair that I purchased but it does not not look as cool. It's a matter of functionality versus visual sex appeal. I went ahead and had the Rev 10s painted painted the same color of the boat.

Seat colors and speaker options are good reminders that we are very fortunate and have to appreciate these types of decisions.

Tall- I use my platform cover every single time I cover the boat. Takes 10secomds to put on. Highly reccomended.

FWIW, I ordered the platform cover for our camping trips--sometimes I'll have to park under trees and gunk, etc., falls on the boat. I'd rather have it fall on the cover than on the Seadek...especially if there is sap on anything.

If you ride at Saguaro lake then don't get the heated seats or the heater if you ride on Saturdays so I can have more of the "winter" riding to myself ;-), otherwise it sure makes it nice especially if the wife/girlfriend/kids are needed as a 3rd as it makes it a lot more comfortable.
