What year did the paddle wheel replace pitot tubes?

Does anyone recall what year CC switched to a paddle wheel (in the SN in particular)? Wasn't it '03 or '04?

My '06 just had a paddle wheel, but I now I've seen a couple older boats without tubes as well.

Ski Nautiques year 2000 came with the Teleflex digital gauges. So wouldn't that be the first sighting? Digital gauges are paddle wheels.

Every 2000 I've seen has had pitots though? I was assuming it was when they went away from dual speedos to digital. Quinner and I were pondering this one offline. His '05 206 has pitots and a paddle wheel. An '04 I'm about to buy only has a paddlewheel. Quinner has a Limited, where the one I'm looking at is an SE.

Digital gauges do not automatically use paddle wheel. Early versions (at least thru '03) still had pitots and then a conversion box at the rear to convert the air/water pressure to electronic signals for the gauges.

My buddies 2000 hard both but the pitots didn't do anything. The hoses were just crimped off. Crazy mix of parts.

SE versions may have gone paddle wheel as early as 2002. Others may not have totally changed over until 06 or 07. Not sure what took them so long
