When a boat leaves the Nautique factory and finally arrives at dealer destination, sometimes almost 2000 miles away, what kind of work is involved to get the boat ready for the customer. I have seen them on trucks before, they look like they are shrink wrapped almost entirely. In the past dealers had to install towers, repair gel coats, and add tons of stuff but what about now. If they do , I would think the final fit and finish would really depend on your dealer and not Nautique itself. People have said their G boats have been the cleanest and best new boat they have purchased. Others have said that several years ago their boats came with lots of extra bolts, screws, wire ties, caulk, and other stuff floating around the bilge area.

I "believe" the towers are installed as they are shipped.

CC has the best track record for fit and finish in the industry and a nice warranty. If and when you buy a boat take 10-20 minutes and visually inspect every aspect of the boat and the trailer. No manufacturere is perfect but these guys are the best at what they do when compared to other brands.

It's stuff like prop installation, mirror, bimini, racks, fit to a trailer etc. full wipe down, test every function and a tank of gas for some.

There is a to do list in every new boat that describes what the dealer has to do. I helped my dealer to do it (because I wanted of course) Apart from what nyryan said I recall installing batteries,removing the wrap up transportation plastic and removing a plastic part that keeps the tower locked for trailering It also includes informing you about warranty, giving you a short description/training...

Bilge trash is common to every manufacturer, and I assume I will find it in my Nautique as well, since there has been a collection of washers, bolts, screws in my Malibu, MC and Tige boats of the past.

My 12 model 210 had a bottle of Gatorade , a bunch of left over foam and cut zip ties in the front bilge area. My new 15 210 is spotless

My boat dealer left a nice Craftsman screwdriver down in the bilge for me once after a service. It did not come from the factory. I figured it was a nice gift. I live 110 miles away, so when I called him a week later when I found it, he was mad. He had been wondering where his favorite screwdriver had ended up!

Consider that a good luck charm. If they left a torque wrench then I'd be concerned.......just kidding😄
