I am sure that this has been covered a few times so forgive the "newbie" on the forum. I want a nautique and looking at a 2011 211 Sport Nautique Team Edition and a 2012 Super Air Nautique 210. Can anyone tell me the differences? I can see that the LINC system is different but any other help here would be appreciated. Thanks

You must mean Sport 200. Yes they are quite different. 200 sport is smaller (1' shorter and a couple inches narrower) and meant as an all around boat (ski, wake, etc.). Usually the all around boats are ok at everything but not great for an individual discipline. The 210 is a wakeboard boat meaning you can get a really good wakeboard wake and dont even bother skiing behind it for other than simple recreation purposes. The real question is what are your plans while out on the water? This will help us steer you in the right direction.

What are you looking to do with the boat ???? Primarily wakeboard, primarily surf, primarily ski? A mix of all the above?
The main difference is the sport 216 is a direct drive boat meaning the engine is in the middle. (They did make the 216 in a v-drive version so it would help to know what version you are eyeing up ) The 216 more of a ski boat that wakeboards.
The Super Air Nautique210 is a v drive boat, meaning the engine is in the rear. If wakeboarding and surfing are your primary go to sports I would go with the Super Air 210. If skiing is your primary and you want to dabble towards wakeboarding the 216 is a great boat. The seating is quite different and you get a ton more storage in the Super Air 210 v drive. If you want to surf at all again Super Air 210 all the way.
Any idea what years or price range you are considering? That would help us give you a more boat for boat breakdownLast edited by swatguy; 02-10-2015, 06:44 PM.

The 216 I am looking at is the V drive and I am only using for wakeboarding, wake surfing and the occasional tube ride for the kids. The difference is the 2012 is more money and not sure if it is worth the extra cash. It's about 10k more. If I add the NSS on it which the dealer will do for me, I can operate the NSS through the LINC system. If I add the NSS to the 2011 then I need a separate switch. That is one factor, I am trying to determine if there are other differences that will help make my decision.

You won't be able to put NSS on the 216. At least not as the factory intended. It will be a one-off installation, and I have never heard of anyone adding it to a 216V before. Also, I believe any NSS added to the 2012 210 will be without covers, so just keep that in mind. The entire plate and the hydraulic arm will be exposed. It'll work fine, but look a little funny. You can paint the plate, but it won't come painted from the factory.
Here's a painted one that N3 did on a 2012 210.

10k more for the 210 is probably a better deal, especially if you ever want to sell it. The 216 v was only around for a couple years, probably because the market was just not there for it. You will have a hard time finding somebody to buy that boat. The 210 will be easy to sell. It is well worth the extra 10k if you will be only wakeboarding and surfing.

Huh. .........Didn't realize the 216 only went v drive in 2011. Even with that ..........210 all day
. It's wakes are still some of the best out there for board sports. If you ever go to sell, the 210 will hold it's value and be way more desireable. The 216V just does not have the demand. You're already considering NSS so another reason going 210 will benefit you. One of the better 21ft surf wakes out there.Last edited by swatguy; 02-10-2015, 10:56 PM.
