I really dont know how to answer this one. My intention is not to get into a Nautique vs Malibu debate. I have not seen any videos or pics that come close to the video I posted. The 210 Rider wasn't coming close to those aerials, switches, transfers, or riding backside. The wave in the video is solid, long, great in height, and with lots of push. A bigger wave allows you to set up for tricks and larger aerials. You also don't need to be directly behind the boat.

Just because the video doesn't exist doesn't mean its not possible. There has never been a lot of pictures or videos on this forum, just never has. It's always busting someone's butt to get photos of anything, much less video. I would suggest before giving up, give one a demo. It's the only way to convince yourself one way or the other. You still may chose to stay with your Bu, but at least you will make a confident decision. I do think you will be pleasantly surprised if the video you posted is what you are looking for, not too hard to get that I don't think. You can't really look at the rider and their tricks, one might just be more talented than the other and it has nothing to do with wave shape or size.

Here's a video I shot last year on my first trip out on a 2014 210 with NSS
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7sV...ature=youtu.be

I get the boat on plane and switch from Port to Starboard. I'm only running Factory ballast, including the Pro Ballast and only 2 people in the boat.
The video is terrible quality, but you can still get an idea of what wave is. With the time, it would have been easy to clean up the port side wave and make it grow.

        Hope this might help

Goofy wave looks better. Was it choppy that day? The wave seems to clean up at the beginning, then you get a big splash in the middle toward the end of it. That would be a total of 1700 lbs of ballast stock? No bow weight? Around 10.6 MPH?

Yeah water was rough that day.
That's 1750 lbs plus about 300 lbs worth of people. No extra weight in the bow, and probably a few tenths slower than that. NSS at 0. And I was in an at least 25 ft of water.

With the prop rotation and me in the driver seat, goofy wave generally going to be better. (Gotta love being goofy!) With an extra person in the boat, the port side wave will look just as nice

Afun, I can tell you the NSS is superior to surfgate. You can truly adjust and dial in the wave. I can make the same monster wave the listed 247s on TMC make, and do it in a lot more pleasant way.

The Gs have the NCRS in addition to the NSS. between these 2, the speed and the weight distribution, you can adjust the wave steepness, length and height and everything in between

If you are looking at a dedicated surfboat, you need to be looking at the G21 or G23. I am tracking the pricing difference... but 450 G23s are selling used at $100ish, and G21s for sell used for less.

Knowing what I know now, I would take a 2-3yr old G any day over chasing perfect colors on a new boat that couldnt perform as well. For all the guys that claim they are grass roots pursits all about performance... they spend a lot of time talking about design features, tower, dash, transom walkthrough like my wife does about her shoes.

Plan a weekend in May and take a trip over here to VA. You'll leave a believer!

I could tell you that NSS looks to be more fuel economical and maybe better handling. The conversation about the G21 has come up a few times. I am sure to be a believer. I had no idea you were so close. I think Norrismike will want to come and give him a pull on his hydrofoil. The entire idea about owning a G is exciting to me.

Some changes are occurring in my market....stay tuned

Ya, you are 4-6hrs, depending on how fast over the mountains near Charleston WV. Tow your boat over that mountain range and it will make a man out of you. Plenty of room at our digs for visitors. Be warned, we wear flops, not Sperrys.

Now, I wont make any claims as far as NSS being more fuel efficient... you are at 10-12gph surfing heavy(3500 rpms+) with the 450 and in the 12-16gph+ range going heavy with a 550. But I will tell you I can make the wave you have there in your video at approx 3100-3300rpms, approx 10-13gph on my 550.

                    Ninja,

I rode a 23LSV with 750's in the back and then a G23 with stock ballast. I am sure the G23 was the better wave for me. It seemed to have more length and a lot more push. So here I am with my G coming sometime soon. It is already complete, just waiting to be shipped.

And that was with just stock ballast all under the floor. Ryan tells me I can put more weight and it goes from awesome to Freak Ya!!!

Tall, you need to get 1100s plumbed in the trunks and 400lbs lead in the bow. It'd be chest high... on YOU.

Well the only reason its not more economical is because the G weighs more. I just think Surfgate has more resistance through the water than NSS. Probably drives a little better too, but maybe SG has a bigger affect on the wave. These are all questions I have. My wife has put the brakes on all of this until next year. I understand her reasoning.

Ninja, do yourself a favor and just demo each boat you are interested in. You can get all the interwebz info you want on every boat imaginable and still not truly know what wake you will like better until you've ridden it yourself. You're in Knoxville so it shouldn't be that difficult to find each boat you're interested in to ride behind whether it be an owner or dealer.

Oh yeah....for sure I will demo these boats. Its so much fun getting everyones opinion. I also value other people experiences and thoughts. This will be my third season. Over 200 hours behind the helm. So I am still fairly new to all of this compared to the ol'timers like NYRyan, lol
