I did find it irritating on the LSV to feel like there was a lot of resistance on the steering wheel. I worry if I get distracted, the boat is going to make a 90 degree turn in a hurry with surfgate.

The primary reason the G does not do this is hydraulic steering, right?

This has never been a big deal for me, but I know what you mean. SG is still very effective in developing a wave. Maybe we will see something new next year.

Tall, definitly NOT hydraulic steering.... and the NSS does pull some, 1-3lbs I'd say. I can still hold the steering wheel with one finger if thats an idea of how hard it pulls. But yes you gotta keep you hand on the wheel.

Well JoeA, I appreciate the invitation from both you and NYRYAN. Since you are closer we will probably take you up on that. Start thinking of a date when we should do it, so we could plan accordingly. Mike wants to bring his Hydrofoil. Its big and bulky.....but he is very careful with it. You could see him do those 20 foot airs! Let me know if that would be OK. We could leave the hydrofoil at home. I could bring the SOULCRAFT I own, if you haven't tried one. We will have some gas money for you and some laughs!

Ninja, It;s a deal. We live on the water can accommodate you and Norris Mike gladly. I've never seen a hydrofoil in action so it ought to be cool to see it in person.

Bring your boards (surf and wake) and fun attitudes and we'll make a great day of it.

I'll be learning how to adjust the wake in April so maybe early May might be best for you guys to visit.

I'll PM you my cell # shortly.

Thanks for the videos. They were underwhelming to say the least. The G boats will always displace more water just because of the size compared to the 210 and 230. The 230 still has 100' beam. So its still a very narrow boat. It is a bit heavy. I have yet to see a good video on the 230 too. I guess everyone just bumps up to the G boats.

It looks like you're setup with a good test drive on the G. The reason I indicated that the 210 and 230 May be better surf boats has to do with the dead rise on the hull. They have more of a deep v configuration and they are only 2 inches narrower than the G. The other advantage with these is that you really don't need anything more than the 343 which could help you save a lot of coin. You could also easily tow them with a tahoe😛. Both great boats, I would just recommend trying all of them before you decide. I think you will find that the NSS wave tends to be steeper with a little more of a lip than with surf gate, but it also seemed to have more push. I also tried a 2015 VLX and 2014 LSV during the buying process. I agree with all the recent comments on drivability. You may also want to take advantage of the VIP program. They may be able to line all 3 of them up for you, so you can do a side by side comparison. Good luck. By the way, nice video!

I find it hard to believe that the 210 and 230 would have a better wave than the G21. I just don't know. Never heard that before.

I would just recommend that you test them all. A 230 or 210 with 2800 pound of ballast may surprise you. Wakeboarding the G win hands down.

They list the G21 and 230 as Nautique's 2 best surf boats. PM GRNautiques. He has done a lot more research on this than I have, but he really recommend the 230 to me after spending a lot of time researching and test driving multiple boats including the G. Worse case scenario is you drive them, love them, and save a lot of money that could be used for beer and gas. Fuel economy should also be better and that means even more beer money.😀

The 230 is a very sweet boat. A bit narrow for 23 but nice!
