I need a full kit for my SANTE and have seen a lot of price variations. I'm going with teak over black and intend to install myself since I only have carpet at this point. Can anyone out there recommend the best venue for purchase. It appears Sundek does not sell direct. Thanks

Just wondering. I have a 2014 SAN 230 with SeaDek and I dont know why they did not put a strip down the side rail behind the tower. It is a natural place for someone to step getting into the boat. Has anyone added these here?Doug

Jhepler just curious why you need a full kit, has your existing seadek failed? Seadek claims it will last 7-10 years and has a warranty of 3 years. I haven't found that to be true at all... Wondering if you and others feel the same way. The Seadek on my boat is completely disintegrating after two years where if you step on it it gets black stuff on your feet which then gets spread out all over the boat. Initially I loved the product; and I'm sure any boat owners that keep their boats only a year or 2 do as well. But in my experience if it realistically only lasts 3 years I think it is a bad choice for nautiques. I don't like saying this with them as a site sponsor, but when I emailed seadek I was very disappointed with their support and customer service... They actually responded "warranty would not apply in my case since it looks to be in a high traffic area" what a joke... Isn't that exactly what the product was designed for? When I asked my local dealer they said they could get the replacement pieces but that I should do all the labor myself as removing all the old pieces would be a fortune due to the cost and amount of hours of labor. I just worry that long term this stuff will be a nightmare for nautiques... Nautiques are great boats, I'm on #3, and I owned each of the old ones for 7+ years and still love my friend's old 80's 2001. In all my experience though, none of the boats had a part that (best case scenario) every 7-10 years (or in my case 2 years) would require replacement that involves thousands of dollars in labor and parts- if I have to personally remove and replace this stuff myself every two years I'm gonna go crazy. And I'm curious if anyone feels the same or have had similar experiences

The only seadek I've got on mine is the swim platform, transom and a couple of pieces around when the bench seat attaches to the boat. I'd like to avoid using the snap in carpet, redo the old and add new seadek with mocha or teak over black which I think looks really sharp. The existing seadek is holding up fine but its the titanium grey over black. I haven't heard any others with your concerns but I will definitely do some additional research. Thanks for the info.

I haven't heard of an issue like the one you mention either. There was one other thread here a few months back with some sort of SeaDek issue, but I think it had to do with it peeling up or something. I have used SeaDek on my stand up jet skis for a couple of years now, and it has held up fine. Other than that, I guess I fall into the category of not owning the boats long enough for issues to come up.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I went through my selling dealer ( Buxton ) As mentioned above, I did the labor myself. It's not easy, and your hands will be sore from pulling the old stuff off, but after you do a few pieces and get the hang of it, it's not too bad. They ( SeaDeck ) have a video on how to remove and install and it was very helpful.
