    Yeti cooler for G23

I was curious of anybody has replaced the factory cooler that comes with the G23 to a Yeti? What model fits in floor location or if anybody has dimensions that would be great too.

For just daily use like going out in the boat a Yeti is overkill and really don't do you much good. They're much better at keeping something cold long term when the lid isn't being opened frequently.

Agree with GCSuper.... My wife bought me a Yeti for Father's Day a few years ago and honestly I hate it. Too much money to spend for a cooler that I have to be so careful not to be stolen. It really doesn't keep ice any longer than a normal $30 Igloo cooler if you're in and out of it all day getting drinks. They are great when filled and left alone, but frequent trips to the cooler kills all benefits. I suggest an inexpensive Igloo cooler that fits the space and be happy, unless you just HAVE to have a Yeti.

Joe, a better use of time and money would be a small 5-10lb Icemaker in your garage. We average 5-10lbs of ice a day. Great to not to have to get store bought ice.

We live on the water and the boat will reside on a boat lift. I was thinking of filling up the cooler Friday night or Saturday morning....boat all weekend then empty on Sunday night. If you guys think a Yeti cooler provides no value base don what i was thinking I'll forgo the thought.

I live on the water as well and purchased a maytag 14 cu ft chest freezer. I can fit 15 or so 20lb bags bags of ice and keep it in the garage. Sure makes it convenient.

I know that I have seen pictures of the in floor cooler mod. I love the idea. I cannot remember how to get water out of the floor. Did he leave a drain in there someow?

Pull the floor and get 3-4 cans of great stuff coat the whole compartment and get some thick neoprene tape to put on cover to seal it will hold ice for days I no longer even use the small chest that fits in there and just pull the plug to drain..

Resurrecting this old thread. I am away from my boat at the moment while visiting family in Dallas. I found a great deal on a Rtic ice chest that's hard to pass up. My question is, will it fit in my 2015 G23 cooler storage? The height is 14.5", which is 1.5" taller than the stock Igloo. Anyone know if it will fit? If not, I have another nice cooler.

Did you ever try the Rtic cooler? If so, did it fit?
