Who Makes the plug wires for PCM?

I just picked up a new set of plug wires for my local CC dealer for my MC with 351 HO. The plugs are branded PCM. Who makes the wires for PCM? Got them for $34.50 so I was pretty happy with the price.

RE: Who Makes the plug wires for PCM?

I don't know who makes the PCM plug wires, but Bosch makes the plug wires that go on my PCM. hehe. From the local Autozone.

Even automotive plug wires are anti-spark! And lifetime warranty (these are anyway)!

Just a curiosity on my part. I know they don't need to be marine specific, but my local CC dealer (your local CC dealer, too) had them for about $7 less than what NAPA was offering for a set of wires. I got 13 years out of my original Taylor plug wires. I should mention that I've only had the boat for 3 years, but they look to be the original equipment (as was the distributor cap, rotor, and PCV valve). All changed now. Even if I could get 13 years out of these wires, I'd probably change them in 3 or 4 just to be anal about it.

So where do you prefer to ski/board in Longview? My wife's family has a place on Caddo, which is where we spend most of our on the water time.

You can't argue with $7 less!
I just moved here for school and don't even have the boat here yet. I should have it here by the middle of march, then I need to install the new distributor and dewinterize it and all that.
I'm not sure which lake(s) I'll be using. A family I go to church with owns some property on Lake Cherokee and they talked like they could get me on there, which would save me quite a drive to The Lake O The Pines. I'll have to get out my map and see where caddo is, unless its private, hehe.

Ah, I just found it on the map (aviation sectional, hehe, it's all I have). It's a descent distance from Longview, but I'll have to try to make a few trips up there this summer!

ss64, sent you a PM. Try google maps and look for "Big Cypress Bayou." Follow Hwy 43 out of Marshall and look for the bridge over the Bayou. The "Big Lake" part of Caddo is not for skiing/boarding.

Just googled Cherokee. Hadn't heard of it.

If you start getting antsy to get out, and it's still cool water out there, Check out Perky. It's a power plant lake that's got 85 degree water in the cold months. Right down the road from you.

Unless things have changed, Pirkey only has one ramp and it's not supposed to be very good. Also, the road to the lake is pretty rough, or used to be. Haven't talked to anyone who's been there recently.

Lake O' the Pines shows to be 4' low. We haven't been up there since August. There's some low spots that can get you at normal levels, don't even want to think about it now. There's at least one submerged bridge in the Tejas Village area I hit several years ago and the lake was at normal summer level.

Ya, one of the guys at Ski-n-Sports was telling me that same stuff about Pirkey. He also told me about the low spots at the lake O The Pines and that bridge! That's crazy! hehe.

I know as of a few months ago The Lake O The Pines was 9' low! We have gotten a decent amount of rain so maybe that brought it up! One can only hope!

Just one ramp at Perkey that I know of. Nothing special about it. I've put in at worse. Nice stump field off to the right of it and to your right as you head out to the main part of the lake, but nothing to worry about over by the plant where it's warm. Caddo can be worse if you don't know the river/lake. And that's not to mention the aligators. I know of one spot near Johnson's Ranch where there is a really big one. We saw him once in Sept. 04. And my father-in-law saw him at least 3 times in the same spot last year. Scary part is it's where I usually drop in for a set.

Have never been to LOTP, but if it's low, then Caddo will also be low as LOTP feeds Caddo. They didn't release much (if at all last year) and it hurt.

I know this is an old post, but thought i would add my two cents for what it is worth. Unless you know or are with someone that knows LOTP or Caddo, I would stay off (especially as low as the lakes are).....Pirkey is great, always warm and usually smooth water. Great lake to wakeboard at, not good lake to "socialize/party" at. Lake Cherokee is private lake, you must live on the lake to get any kind of boat on the water. The lake is great for "social/"party" type atmosphere, the weekends SUCK for trying to wakeboard. Weekdays and early morning on weekends are the only times to wakeboard. (Side note: I am moving to Lake Cherokee in a three weeks!!! boat will be on a lift and will be minutes from putting it in the water every day! really excited)

                        Congrats on the house!

I went up to LOTP a few weeks ago and ran around. It wasn't too terribly low. I stayed by the dam most of the time. I did run out to the middle then up further north to check stuff out though.

Levels on Caddo are really not so bad at the moment. LOTP released some water, so Caddo is in pretty good shape. Still, I think your statement is valid. If you don't know where to avoid, I wouldn't put a nice boat in Caddo. We ran from the Louisiana border all the way up the river past the 43 bridge to the water intake (before it gets narrow). Heading back in the next two weeks.

P.S. Don't tell anyone it has water. It's been nice and deserted.

Sounds like a winner. The "keeping folks off the water" comment was speculation. Bear in mind, our last outing over there was the second weekend in March. Hard to predict traffic based on that.
