About to pull the trigger on a leftover 2014 210, but still contemplating ordering a 2015. Can anyone who has felt the difference in the throttles please give some feedback? The 2015's I have felt at the boat shows feel buttery smooth compared to the 2014's. Also, can a factory surf pipe be ordered for the 2014, or does it have to be an aftermarket FAE? Thirdly, has anyone pulled the ballast bags (300's) from the pro ballast option and put 750's in? And lastly, what is the difference in the 6x9 tower speakers and the horn-loaded speakers listed in the options? They all look the same to me. Jeff, does Roswell make any tower speakers that have the cabin lights on the bottom? Thanks!

The new throttle is significantly smoother. I never really had an issue with the old throttle, but I know for some people it was a sore point.
Yes, the factory Surf Pipe can be added to a '14. If that boat didn't come with one, it will have a muffler from the factory. Surf Pipe boats do not have mufflers since they're just not needed.
I have heard of people replacing the pro ballast bags with 750's. As you remember, I had them on my last 210, and they fit just fine.
The regular 6x9 speakers have better sound close-up, but can't push the sound out to the riders at wakeboarding speeds/lengths. The horns don't sound quite as good (less mid-bass), but they can easily get the sound out to the riders. Both will have the underside lights.
Aftermarket Roswells will not have the underside lights (although both factory options from Nautique are Roswell speakers). Roswell used to sell them aftermarket as well (called Airbornes), but they no longer do. Some of Roswell's speakers can be purchased with LED rings, but that doesn't do a whole lot of good inside the boat. Roswell does sell tower lights though.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. re: the throttle--2015 is noticeably smoother, but, like Jeff, I never had a problem with pre-2015. To me, having the previous version isn't a deal breaker at all. Perhaps I'd be willing to pay slightly more for the 2015.Previous boats:

another question, i noticed the '14 I'm looking at doesn't have the GPS helm package. I'm assuming this means no zero-off? I've ridden behind both paddle-wheel and zero-off and definitely prefer zero-off. Comments from those who have/ don't have it? Would not having it be a deal killer for any of you?

AFAIK the gps option can be dealer installed for cheaper than factory. If you can save some money and don't need to have a current year boat I'd say go for the '14. 750s in the rear lockers may fit but you will definitely need to get rid of the rear storage trays.
