    Accessories lights

I'm looking into Adding some accessories lights to my Sport Nautique. I don't need the whole boat to light up, but I do want the back storage compartment, gunnels, storage under the observer seat, glove compartment, etc. I would like it to be bright enough so at the end of the day I can unload the boat in the dark. Anybody have some suggestions or pictures of what they have done. I was planning on spicing into the existing gunnels accessories lights with some LED’s from Wake Specialty. I know this question has been asked before however I did not see any examples of storage lighting. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Wake specialties has some real nice stuff.

I have a few extra Sylvania LED plates (white or blue) that I will give you if you just need a few, PM me.

Here is my 94 Sport Nautique. I used cheapie LED's that were clearanced at Target. It is a project well worth it if you use the boat at all at night.

          That looks great, Kevin.
I went with some white lights that Mikeski sent me (thanks again Mike). I mounted them in all the upfront storage compartments. I now can load and unload the boat in the dark with out having to go Helen Keller to find stuff. I would post pictures, however after seeing yours and SI's boats you would not be impressed.

          Thanks For the great ideas

            Kevin,

Do you have any pics of your glovebox in the daylight?

            Thanks.

I don't recall if the 94's came with the heavy-duty 'cooler' lid on the glovebox or not. That heavy thing is most definitely my biggest nit with my boat right now. I'd love to find a lightweight replacement.

Kevin -- is that the stock glovebox lid or did you fabricate it?

Joe, that's what I was asking, the cooler/glovebox lid looks clear.....and custom. I would like to see some more photos as well.

                    Hi

The glovebox is stock as far as I know. It is a dark tinted glass. The previous owner just put the sticker on the glass.

This is the best pict I have right now of the glovebox in the light. If anyone wants something different just let me know and I can probably take more picts this weekend of anything you want.

Thanks for the compliments on the lights

                    Kevin

I just spliced into the accessories lights that were already tucked into the sidewalls and under the passenger seat. Then I just took the bulbs out of the factory lights. That way they work with the switch in the dash.

For the glovebox I went through the drain line (We never use it for a cooler anyway)

Sorry to bring this thread back to life, but I came across it and had a couple of questions. I have a '93 Sport and I wanted to add some blue LED's, like you did in the pics above. I ordered the wedge style 6-bulb replacement LED's for my courtesy lights underneath the gunnels from Super Bright LED's.

I want to add some additional lighting and was curious what style of lighting you used on your boat? Was it the strips? Where did you mount them all? The wedges didn't add alot of light, which I expected. I want to tap into the existing wiring that is already running to all of the courtesy lights, if possible.
