    retro application for NSS

I am seriously considering the purchase of a 2011 230 team sweet boat with 40 hours and in great condition
I have heard such great things about the NSS system that I really want a boat with that feature but have been told that it is only compatible with the link 2.0 system which was not in 2011 model year

Has anyone heard of 9r been able to retro fit the NSS today a non link 2.0 boat?

I have a 2009 SANTE 230 and it has the non link system on it mechanical gauges. Some people like it better due to these things to go wrong over the Lync systems. Last year I installed NSS from a 2013 and put it on pretty much bolted right up and looks like it came from the factory. If you can get a older boat with lower hours it's worth it in my option.

To control the NSS plates I am using the Lenco Double Ram switch pretty much connects right in to the NSS harness.

Each Ram has 2 wires which expand and retract each ram.

    * 12 volts to one wire expands it.
    * 12 volts to the other wire retracts it.

The harness also has a 12 volt, Neg and a Exciter wire.

    http://http://www.lencomarine.com/in...witch-kit-dual

I have a blue LED right on the dash when the system is powered it lights up so I know the unit is hot.

One really nice thing if you have the Lync 2.0 system it will automatically retract if you go over 15 mph.

My Lenco controller is right under the throttle fits perfect and it's hidden.

A few things I learned during the process since I did a lot of research before I did it.

    * The 2012 -2013 NSS kit is exactly the same.

    * Technical it can fit on 2009 to 2013 SAN 230 the hulls are exactly the same ( might even work on 07 - 08's as well). When they cam out with the 2014 hull they had the flat surface which is easier for the Gen 2 NSS systems. They basically work the same.

    * Lenco makes the kits for Nautique, but they can't sell the kits due to Nautique owning the rights. So you have to buy them from a Nautique dealer and they will ask you for a Vin from 2012-13 when ordering.

If you want I can send some pictures tomorrow.

Hopefully this makes sense I am on a flight and my wifi keeps dropping as well as Tapatalk crashed 3 times while writing this.ðŸ˜

    Thx
    Dave

Dave, that setup sounds interesting. I would be interested in seeing some photos of your NSS. I would consider purchasing an older 230 if I could add NSS.

Couple of pictures so you can see how its installed.

        Placement of Lenco Ram Switch.

There is a shot of the dash as well when the RAM is deployed it lights up a blue led light between the fuel and speedo.

I rasied the platform as well to clear the ram as well as move the platform out of the way.

Which model Lenco Rams did you use? I have a couple with 4.25 inches of throw IIRC, which is what the Malibu Power wedge uses. I suspect these are the same. If anyone wants them, let me know. I bought them for the power wedge replacement, but never installed them.

Anyone have a line on the 2013 SAN 230 NSS kit? PLEASE PM ME! I would love to pick up one.

Did you have to raise your platform at all?

Any idea if this will fit on a 220? I heard the hull on the 220 was similar to the 230.

So you didn't have to drill new holes through the hull?

This is great! I believe in the next few years, that things like this will help pad the value of the 07-10' 230's...

Is your control only on/off or can you dial it in from 1-5 for different levels of steepness/push, like how the NSS works on the 2012 and ups? I'd assume so if it is all the same parts but just looking to clarify

Yes you can adjust in the plates in 5 or 6 different settings via the Lenovo switch. Works really well going out this weekend first time out this season. 😀

No Additional holes for the swim platform thru the hull. I went down and bought 2x2 x 6 feet square tube aluminum and really just raised the platform using the 2 inch tube.

                              Dave Rittiman ,
do the Lenco "rocker/switches" work in "steps?" Ie. you push it one time and the actuators move a little bit (set distance), push it again, and it "steps" again the same distance? If so, that is pretty cool! Oh, and I really like your idea about raising the platform, I may do that as well. Did you use a long screw through the 2x2 tube, or nuts and bolts to the original bracket, then screws through the top of the tube into the platform itself?
