    G23 Propeller ?

Is anyone running an OJ on their G23? I have a 2013 A friend of mine is a Supra Dealer and says that OJ has been doing a ton of testing and they are getting great results and the props are carrying the loads better.. Any real world experience would be great.

So I spoke to Eric at OJ and went with a OJ wake pro 945 15x13 I had an acme 2313 15x12. All I can say is it performs much better, with full ballast and 8 ppl and it seems to get on a plane faster and it runs less rpm's. Same with surfing and it also seemed like we burned less gas. I will know how much different fuel burn is after a few weeks. The only thing I have to see if it will plane with 16ppl and full ballast with the acme it took a year to get up I had to run half full with more than 10ppl.

Chris, you have the 450 motor in your G?

I've tested props ad nasuem on my 2013 450... The best prop I found was the 2315.

But related on this topic.... as it relates to the 550 1:48 tranny Gs.... we need to get OJ to make us 1.25" hub 16"x15.5"s. It can definitly handle more than whats on there or avail from ACME.

          Ryan,

What would the improvement consist of? Whats the consensus on OJ vs. Acme.

Well Acme doesn't make a wake prop in that range. When I've called them and talked custom props in this range, I've found them arrogant... Their attitude is if we don't make it you don't need it. Also, when I went through several props on my last G, they were giving out bad advice how different props would respond. They aren't wakeboat owners.

OJ is the 180 opposite, they listen to their customers and are developing all the props Acme isn't. 15x13 for example.... Would be a terrific prop just above the 2315.

Anyhow... The 550 Gs can handle bigger than the stock 15x14.25 that's on there.... I can spin near 4000 rpm under 5 mph. A 16x 15.5 would be about perfect IMO.

Very interesting, haven't considered OJ before. What RPM are you running with full ballast at 22.5 mph? What about in the "back to dock" mode at 25 mph and no ballast? Very curious on your findings, thanks for trying it out.

Spoke with ACME and they said for the amount of weight we run in our boat they are releasing a new prop in the new few weeks. Specs on it are: 17x14 cup 1.05 part number 2749. Seems interesting

They are making this to pair with a 550 hp or 450 engine?
