Got a chance to take the Nautique factory tour today. I have to say, I left more impressed than ever. It is amazing the individual attention they give to each boat and each section. If you have a chance, I would definitely recommend it. An interesting factoid, recently Sea Ray downsized some staff. Several ended up getting positions with Nautique. Shortly after, Sea Ray called to ask them back. None of them went back. They were being paid the same at Nautique and appreciated the environment and schedule where they landed.

We had our tour last week as well and also noticed how well they seem to treat their employees. Most seemed pretty happy and said hello as we were walking through. Apparently they had a really tough time laying people off back in 08 when they economy was rough. He said they really don't want to do that again so they've switched to four ten hour shifts and will work extra days if they need to. They don't hide the spiritual way they run their company but even if you don't agree with it you have to respect the way they treat people.
I also liked how honest they were in general. instead of claiming their product is the best and doesn't fail he said that they have problems but it's all about taking care of the customer.
