2008 Nautique 210 limited ballast setup for wakeboarding

As the heading states, we are trying to get the best setup to get the most out of this boat for wakeboarding. Keen on people who have this hull and setup. The boat has the 343hp with the wakeboard prop.

Keen to see pics of the wake as well.

    Thanks Jason

Does your limited have the (3) factory tanks already?

The more weight u can get in the butt of that boat the better the shape is gonna be. Load it down till it won't plane then take some out till it does. To much bow weight really knocks the lip from the San 210 wake. But it's a fine line u need that bow weight to plane and also to not porpoise. U might look into a 1235 prop and if it hasn't been updated get the rectangular gps antenna and latest zero off software update.

Hi Swatguy, the boat has only the two rear tanks, currently we add 220lt ballast bags on top of the tanks. we add a 180 fat sack where the centre tank is (what size bag is best). add another 250 bag in the nose. the wake is alright but as stated as soon as we put more in the nose in flattens the wake out. Would we be better of pulling the rear tanks and adding the 500lt bags in the rear??

Nordicron we have the 1235 prop, were do we get the latest software update. This might help as most of our wakeboarding is in the river and we have to adjust the speed by a mile if going up or down the river.

        Thanks for your help.

I run fly high 750 bags on top of my stock rear tanks and 500lb lead under the rear seat area. I have the center tank and also the arrow sac. With all this weight in rear my boat would never plane if it wasn't for the trim tabs i installed. Even with the 1235 prop.
As for the software basically only thing I can tell u is dealer help on that one.

Ok. As Ron mentioned. It likes rear weight for sure. Your best bet since you don't have center tank in to get an Arrow sac to put in the ski locker. You can do the rear one of two ways.

            1) piggy back 400lb sacs off the hard tanks. This allows you to keep the factory ballast gauges working. So if you ride with a lot of varying abilities you can gauge how full the tanks are. The sacs will fill once the tanks get full. Pretty simple straight forward install.

            2) strip the rear tanks and add the Straight Line Sumo 900 sacs. The fit perfectly and fill up all the sapce. They are the perfect size. You won't ever use all 900 to wakeboard, but if you surf at all you can fill the 900 completely.

As to the prop ....,,the 1235 has been known to leave burn. I know guys who have had success and guys who have had prop burn from running it. The mack daddy prop these days is the 1617 from Acme. You can get all your ballast needs at wakemakers.com. They are a wealth of knowledge on getting you all set up. They sell the piggy back kits is you choose option 1. They sell the prop and also give you 10% discount for being planet Nautique member. Great customer service and fast shipping.

As far as the zero off upgrade. I just did this. You have to order the R2 antenna and harness from Zero Off. Then you have to do the software upgrade to match the antenna. Zero Off will send it straight to you or your dealer. Your dealer will have to flash it tho because you need to flash it through the engine harness. The new r2 antenna has a gyro and an additional sensor so it gives a much smoother pull. The antenna is 400 from Zero Off.
