G series cabin noise

Not this it is bad, just wondering if anyone has experimented with any sound deading products for under the floor and under the engine hatch. I was looking at the hush mat website and their products seem to work very well.

Only reason i say this is i opened my floor hatch while cruising and could not believe how much engine noise came up threw the floor. If the hatches an engine cover hood were lined with this material , it could be a really quiet ride in the cabin.

I felt like the Nautique was quite a bit more quiet when compared to my previous Malibu. Nothing wrong with making further improvements though. Let us know if you purchase and if you find it to be helpful. It would really neat of you could do a video with a decibel meter of a before and after installation.

i feel like my g21 is not a quite as my 2012 210. I did notice when i installed seadek in the 210 it was much louder than the carpet. Also the 210, the engine hood did not have the walk threw-so you had that big seat cushion sucking up the noise.

just some ideas thats all.

I think it's a great idea--and I'd love to hear if it works, especially if you have a way to measure the before and after sound levels. FWIW, I think my G23 is on par w/my 2008 210...perhaps a little louder but slightly less vibration/harshness.

My 210 was not a fair comparison. It had a factory surf pipe with the factory muffler. It sounded like an electric sewing machine at 21 mph.

Hmmmm... true. My G21 is louder then my old 2008 Supra. If you tr something, i would like to hear about the results ;-)

I was thinking of removing the muffler with the surf pipe it will get quieter

I disagree about that. I had a boat with stock muffler. Then added surf pipe and kept the muffler. It was definitely more quiet with both muffler and pipe together.

I just ordered about 50 square feet of Hushmatt in black. If anyone has suggestions or ideas please post them up. I would love to get a decibel meter for before and after any install to see the real difference. I was going to start with just the inner hood and the inside of the removable panels along with the bottom of access door to battery area.

Wait, you guys are talking about boats right? My 01 SAN is pretty quiet. I may be willing to trade for a G21/23 but I need to test drive your boat first to make sure its not to loud.
