I am an Iraq vet and also invovled in soldier, sailor and Marine disabity evaluation system for the warrior. Essentially, we get help them get through the sysytem.
At Lake Anna we have a group called Wake on Water where we take teens out on the lake and teach them the love of Christ. Teens really have fun and this is a good way to reach them.
I know plenty of wounded warriors who believe they have lost part of their lives. How great it would be to get them out on the lake and reintroduce them to life! Not just them, but their families. How many parents have given their limbs for our country and now cannot give receation to their families?
Are their any Nautique owners who feel the same way? Anyone have any experience with disability watersports? I would like to get a group started or even better a network. I have been blessed with the income and opportunity to have a Nautique and would like to give back to vets who gave a whole lot more than I did.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be very welcome.
