So this just happened....can it be fixed the other buttons work fine just not the on/off mode? Or do I just have to buy a new one? What would cause this to happen?

Looks like the plastic cover just wore out. Lift the plastic and maybe put it in there super carefully and put some clear masking tape over it. For that matter. Looks like your other ones are on the way out. Put some clear masking tape over each of them....Is what I would probably do. Or call them and ask them how much to fix...
