    Schneider-Crimmins, World Class Tow Boats

CC's two most recent hires of notable potential consequence, beauty and the beast appearances aside, could very well be the winning marketing and manufacturing formula that our beloved company needs to wrest away many of the concerns about build quality that have been raised on this board in recent months. I'm decidedly positive about seeing new blood coming into the company and being promoted from within the ranks. Modestly, and acknowleding that only CC knows their business best, I will suggest that the company embrace a strategy going forward of communicating more directly to this Planet of Nautique owners such that we do not have to always rely on rumor and/or the dealer network, which like many of us would rather deal more directly and forthrightly with the factory. As Bob Dylan put it best,

    Come gather 'round people
    Wherever you roam
    And admit that the waters
    Around you have grown
    And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
    If your time to you
    Is worth savin'
    Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

I met Terri Schneider at the Miami Boat Show. Shes a very nice woman - totally treated my family and I well while we looked around and bugged the executives. I agree they are making some good hiring decisions and then extending the good decision effect by announcing them here. It makes us feel as if we are 'in the loop'.

        Rhode,

As usual, you have a way with words!

I am sure the beauty and the beast thing would go over well. :o

Maybe you should get one of the Meloons or the Warners to sell you a share of stock and get the info first hand from the inside as a shareholder.
Lack of proper planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

          Separator,

I'm just interested here in talking about ways that CC can be a better company and get back on plane to making world class tow boats.

Please PM me with you or your's buddy's specific solitication to sell CC stock and be sure to let me know if CC is an S Corp. or an LLC; assuming the latter or some other form of incorporation, because there are probably more than 75 family members feeding from the trough, state the class of interest being offered for sale and its associated rights and percentage of pass-through income. God knows, CC isn't on the Big Board or any other publicly-traded exchange where management would be subject to the type of market discipline that is understood by financial markets.

            Rhode,

Dont take this personally but maybe CC dosent want to share info right now about its future plans for building world class boats. From what I have seen with the recent new hires, job changes from within and a new plant coming on line that CCI President/CEO seems to have a good handle on it. Whats the old Government saying? "Its on a need to know basis and right now you dont need to know" 8-)

The stock thing was meant as a joking statement as indicated by the

I would'nt hold your breath on the possibility of buying any CC stock. From what I have heard, with a large number of family members feeding from the trough as you suggest, buying stock from them isnt going to happen.

All good points, Separator. CC has their hands full, as you note, and they have better things to do right now with the new new factory, job changes, etc. than cater to every whim and whine of this board. I was just suggesting that they appear to be taking the right direction by bringing on new blood, promoting the best from within and generally communicating in a direct way. The future certainly looks bright, and I really have no doubt that they will pull it completely together on the build quality and communication fronts. Like the majority of us probably, CC shareholders included, I'm long-term greedy and not short-term greedy and will continue to give CC a pass while they shake a few apparent hiccups.

Again, as Bob Dylan put it best,

              The line it is drawn
              The curse it is cast
              The slow one now
              Will later be fast
              As the present now
              Will later be past
              The order is
              Rapidly fadin'.
              And the first one now
              Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

              Rhode

P.S. No slight intended to Messr. Crimmins; my beast comment was made in relative and hopefully obvious jest to the apparent grace and beaughty of Ms. Schneider, if that is appropriate to say.

I wish CC would hire me  I would love to work on some new CC boats. I think I could change some things for the better If they would let me. If I was single and didnt have a great business of my own I would drop them a line. Ok e-nuf of this day dreaming back to work LOL
