I have a friend who just bought a 2013 G25 and is having trouble getting it to surf well. I have a 2015 g23 and it surfs great, but when I tried to help him get the wave good and switchable from side to side I was stumped too. Pretty much had to lean the boat to get a clean wave. What surf setups are working for others?

Pmellis - I have a 2014 G23 and a bunch of goofy friends. I am regular. We run a single 400lb fly high sac in the port locker and all factory bags full. This seems to be just enough weight to offset the prop spin and driver weight so that we get a clean wave with enough push on either side. All we have to do is push the button to switch. I would argue that it makes the starboard wave better even though it is on the port side. The reason I know this is when I first got the boat all my goofy buddies were riding great and I was struggling even though I had been surfing behind a 211 for years so I decided to throw in one of the 400lb sacs that I had used in my 211 and it made it just right for everyone.
This setup works great even when it is just rider and driver. More people in the boat is just gravy in my opinion. I am sure you could go with a bigger sac but i am not sure if you would still have a clean starboard wave without adding some weight to that locker.
NCRS 4 and NSS 3
Hope that helps.
