I found this metal plate loose in the bottom of the hull of my 2005 Air Nautique 225. Does anyone know where it belongs? It is flat with contoured edges that match the contour of the bottom of the hull.
Kenv, the motor had been out of this boat twice so that is possible but I have never seen a heat shield below the motor on any of my previous boats.
Beach,
That is a possible, it looked like it came out from under the fuel tank. So on the other side of the fuel tank is the forward bilge pump. I will check that out.
Hey First....I was up at the lake yesterday and looked in the bilge of my G21....and I saw a plate JUST like that positioned under what was either the foward ballast or the gas tank. It was a hard plastic tank with that plate under it.
My 2007 210 has a very similar plate. It is between the fuel tank and belly tank and is labeled as a screw guard. On mine there is a notch in the hull that it fits in.
