    Help removing surf plate.

While doing my spring prep... I noticed there are four screw on the nss plate. Could I easily pop that cover off to clean behind and around it? It doesn't seem like they are connected to anything major. Has anyone done this ?
    Thanks!

Are you wanting to remove the surf pipe (silver exhaust pipe) or the cover on the nss?

Just the cover on the plate that extends. I think it's just fiberglass or plastic. Says NSS, I just get crazy when I'm cleaning and wanted to get around the plate.

Popped right off. It was four screws I think. Cleaned and put back in in two min.
