    PRICE CHECK

Guys, I wanted to check and see if my boat is priced right. I feel like it is and really surprised it hasn't sold, but what's your opinion. I'm down to $83,900 on a 2013 230 Team Edition that is like new!. It is paid for and I am in no rush to sell it, but I hate to see it just sit in the garage not being used. Thanks in advance for looking.

I think you are priced right and I can't believe no one has bought it either. Great colors and nice options. I would put it on onlyinboards.com. I have sold my last 3 nautiques within a month or 2 on there. Good luck

Great looking rig. I think part of what is hurting the sale is the lack of NSS. Since the release of "surf systems" I believe that most buyers that are purchasing a boat that was built in the "era" of surf systems want that feature. I feel you have it priced right, I just think the lack of what is currently pushing the industry forward may be hurting the sale. I am willing to bet if you added NSS, you would get the price including upgrade and get is sold faster. Just my 0.02.

I generally think that you take 10% hit when you leave the showroom floor and another 10% hit when the next model year comes out. Keep in mind I am pretty cheap when it comes to buying these things, but what I see in the market seems to follow me, IMHO. My dealer last fall had a new 2014 with NSS listed for 99k without any negotiating at all. I was not interested in the boat, so did not try to talk them down, but I suspect it could go lower than that. In 3 months, 2016 models will be popping up.

So I think you are overpriced. It is close to 3 model years old, lacks the key feature (NSS), and is only 17% (probably less) than what a new one would cost in my neighborhood.

I think the boat is beautiful and do not mean to be demeaning at all, just giving a direct opinion, which is what I think you want. When a guy looks at your boat and then goes to the dealer to ask what a new one will cost, how much is the difference?

Having said all that, I do know a guy who bought a used 2014 G23 for less than 10K under what I paid for my new 2015. So there are guys out there who feel the extra amount for new is not worth it. The new boat smell, new model year, longer warranty, and picking out my own colors was easily worth 10K to me.

Agree with Tallrider. You're still too high. The asking price should start with a $7. It has the 6.0, but that is offset by the fact it doesn't have NSS ($3k) or tower speakers ($3k). 2014s can be had for low $80s where i live, and it would include NSS and tower speakers.

You should advertise other places beside PN though. OnlyInboards and CL.

And this is coming from someone who looks almost daily for a G23 on only inboards.

Price it at $81,900 and work a deal with your Nautique dealer to have NSS installed upon receipt of payment. It's sell quick.

Sorry, but if not selling the price is too high...I think it should sell for a final price of about $65, so i agree with someone above that said it should be priced with a $7 in front. Honestly it looks like it is in immaculate condition but it is a lot of white, not for everyone, and lack of nss, and so many people know that 230 wake is super finicky and with g serious out the 230 is not the top of the line nautique...so lot's of issues...plus it is a pretty small market for people looking to spend $60-80 grand on a boat.

I would buy that boat today for $65k. 2013 210s are selling for low $70's around a here and 230's in the low to mid $80's. If you have the means and dealer support to add NSS I would do that and list it at $84,500 or so and see what you get.

I am going to get NSS installed soon. I'm not really pushing to sell it, so I will advertise it again on this site after NSS is installed.

Get it installed soon and remove history of current sales adds and it will sell in no time. I was looking all last year and your boat with NSS would have sold easily around 83-84. I think your biggest problem was you started too high.

I too think you're priced too high, adding NSS will help it sell faster, just not sure you'll get the $ for the installation & equipment back.
As an example a friend sold a '12 model here, pretty loaded up, Z5, ZR engine and NSS, low hours, sold end of summer '13 for about $80. He had going for him a minor model change in the '13 model 230, new tower, etc. but not the evolution of the '14+ model compared to the '13 models.
I disagree w/Scott's position on the $65k for your boat, I think it should bring mid to high 70's if marketed well.
Ask Jeff to delete your ad (to me boats that have been sitting for sale for too long raise ?'s, just like houses listed too long), compose new ads, get new pics, etc..AND price it to sell.
I do think the market on the 230's is a little quirky right now, but, I think the season is just getting cranked up, and you should be in the sweet spot for sales now...

                              Sale suggestions . . .

After looking over your previous for sale post (http://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/fo...e-mint-alabama) I have several observations:

                              1) There were no pictures of the boat only a description. Make sure your next for sale post includes pictures from the get go.
                              2) The pictures you did add were of various interior pieces and equipment shoved in a bedroom. Looked like a garage sale and really made me question what was up with the boat
                              3) Your description of 6 hour detailing exercises is non-value add in my opinion. Anyone purchasing a low hour, $80+k boat is going to expect a clean rig. As a potential buyer I'd like to know if there are any flaws (i.e. tears, scuffs, etc).

Provide a concise description, including hours, service history, sound system, options, etc. Not to beat a dead horse but pictures are worth a thousand words. You really need to include these. Make sure they are formatted correctly (not sideways) as well.

Hopefully this is not coming off as critical as that is not my intention. You obviously have a well cared for, very clean boat that will appeal to a lot of buyers. Your ad needs to make them believe they must have it and can't live without it.

Finally, G's are starting to hit the $90k level so you need to be aware of that and price appropriately. I agree with some of the other comments that you were too aggressive with your initial pricing.
