What are the specs on the next one you plan to test?
Not 100% sure, yet. I think it'll be a 16x14.75.

Robert, really depends on how you use your boat and what your priorities are. I can describe effects, you gotta choose what best aligns with your priorities.
If you wanna save a lot of gas while surfing heavy 16x16 all day. 16x16 is an A++ G550 surf prop for most any weights, better than OEM. But your heavy 24mph wake performance will suffer some. If OEM ballast is your max for 21-24mph wakeboard... you'd be fine with the 16x16. If you need to save gas for money, or to get through long weekends without a fillup as a priority... 16x16 is your prop. If you have long cruises to get to your spots, 16x16 is your prop.
If you are looking for bonkers weight over OEM ballast at 21-24mph wake speeds, you need a 16x15 to 16x14.5. 16x15 you'd save a little gas vs OEM.... any smaller pitch than that gas savings will be negligible if any, but heavy 21-24mph performance will A+.
You gotta determine where you are on this spectrum and what your priorities are. Really cant be anymore clear than what I've described. There is no silver bullet, and there are trades with any of these prop decisions.
At this point I think I've beaten this to death from the surf side of things... some of the other guys who run really heavy weights at 24mph can chime in. Next week I will have some really advanced riders behind my boat.... and have no worries whatsoever the 16x16 will do fine with max OEM ballast and folks onboard.
Thanks ,, that breakdown clears things up for me,I jump the gun and got the 16x15.5 and then started reading about the other props you are testing testing,, have not put the 16x15.5 on yet, drop the shaft key in water, and could not find... as you know its specially made for the 550,, also have appointment for warranty shaft replacement next week didn't want the the 16 to void warranty if the shaft broke...

I've only had the boat for a week and compared to my old malibu 247 it gets out of the hole and on plane like a rocket. Would probably like a little better fuel efficiency so was thinking the 16 x 15.5 or the 16 x 16. I have a few weekends a year where we really load it down but other than that its just the wife and the kids with me wakeboarding.
