JoeA your not the first to mention dealer relationship. I guess I better definetely take that into consideration also. That dealer I'm talking to basically said the same thing about underwater lights. He acted like that wasn't a big deal to add at all.

Thanks again to all of you. I know Ive been full of questions and have went back and forth, but I truly think with the help from all of you I'm on much more of a narrow path and headed for the finish line!

Hope I didn't tarnish myself dealing with that AcerMD too much. Not sure what his deal or problem is, but glad i didn't let that get out of hand although I did have to edit my post multiple times !! Lol

This really is a great Forum, and we all are lucky to have it, and all of you pat yourselves on the back, as i'm sure I wont be the first "inboard rookie" to find this board and ask a million questions!

    Thanks Again

I feel our input is wasted here. Demo them and buy the one you like the best, just plop it on your black AMEX no big deal.

Listen, go demo a MC X30. It'll cruise, surf, handle, and most importantly, has a much deeper bow than the 230. The 23LSV will also do all these things better.
I've been following this guy since Jan when he first posted about buying a Nautique. 5 months later and . . . wait for it . . . still waiting . . .

I always pop a bag of popcorn before diving into his thread. Very entertaining. Could almost be a TV sitcom. "Noah Tries To Buy A Boat"

You guys are too mean. Seriously this guy has given reason for the length of time. Give him a break. He's about to make a big decision on a boat. Why not support him as opposed to criticize him?

No sweat JoeA, they are two peas in a pod ! lol

I get actually get a kick out of these types who "hide behind their computers and throw insults", makes them feel "special" I guess?

Face to Face I'm sure they wouldn't be so "mouthy", ooops........now I'm being a Bully? Lol

I like my popcorn too, so if it gives him a reason to eat some Go For It.

Just change the sitcom to " Tim tries to Buy a Boat", Noah is my grandson's name, so of course He won't be buying a boat for many years.

I haven't used the shocks yet as I rarely fold my tower seems like a good idea though. I actually preferred the Bimini that came with th illusion tower I had on my previous moomba. This one is easy to fold out, but getting the sleeve back on is a PIA. They really need to revisit that design. It also sits at an ideal height to scalp me (I am 6'1") as I walk from the bow to the main cabin. If you live in a climate that is prone to cooler temps, I would highly recommend the heated seats.

+1 for heater and heated seats. Yes, I live in TN and yes they are used more often that you could possibly believe.

Totally agree! Pretty much every time I have gone out this year those seat heaters get used. The ladies seem to love them, even in the summer.

It is a slight improvement, but the other setup wasn't bad once you spent a couple hours getting used to it. If you can find a 2014 you like, save the extra money for gas, beer and other toys. I would recommend you get a surf pipe. I would also recommend upgrading the rear pro ballast package to 750's from the 400's that are included. The 750's will work with the trays, and they make a huge improvement when surfing. Also keep in mind that ordering a boat may take 4-6 months before it comes in. We ordered ours in early August and it didn't arrive until late January.
seveet can you confirm you have the 750s and can still put trays in. I have the 400 and been told that is as big as you can go with trays. I love the wave but would like to put in the 750 for when I don't have a full tank of gas or it is just me and one other on the boat.

                      Hola Noahsark,
I have a G21 and can answer those questions.
I have got the 409 engine and it gets up to 37-38 mph no ballast 4-5 people.(just tried once)
Remember, G´s are pro wake & surf boats that may suit family requirements. Speed is not the target, and as someone said the prop limits it achievable top speed. However, it can be set up to ride at low revs safely & comfortably at 25-30mph.

It definitely has more room than the 230 .

The 750's fit. They will push the trays up a little when completely full. When I try to fill them via to wakesurf setting in Linc they don't get completely full. I just use they ballast screen and run the pumps until they spit water out the vents. The total wt in Linc wont be correct when completely full. I also added an IBS. Best wave so far with minimal people seems to be all ballast completely full and then dropping an 1/8 of the ballast out of the none surf side rear tank, hydro gate vert, 10.6-10.8 mph, NNS 3-4.

Sorry all inc. Noah, I was a little harsh. I felt that there was something disingenuous about the op but I understand buying a boat can be stressful and that's probably what's throwing him off.

Best of luck Noah in your search.

The shocks really don't do that much when putting the tower down, but when you push the tower up, the bimini will quickly shoot straight up and point at the sky. that's OK if your out in the open, but if the boat is inside it could cause damage to the bimini or it's cover.

So out of interest Noahsark did you ever make the decision? interested to hear your thoughts....
I tossed and turned over pretty much the same decision for a pretty similar length of time it seems.
But I held of for a little extra time and now I have a 2016 230 on the way with the new 6.2 direct injection motor, October Delivery! (In time for Aussie Summer)
Pretty similar with respect to the models I was looking at although I ruled out a 210 straight away in search of more room.
The boats probably going to be used similarly to what you had described your intent will be, fair bit of day trips and cruising around. Especially in some of the Gold Coasts broadwater areas which can get pretty chopping on a bad day.
But also wanting it to be really capable for all the water activities as well and comfortable for just my partner and I to take it out for the day.
In the end I pulled the trigger on a 230 for a few reasons.
-Towing, the little bit less weight is going to make a big difference as we will be towing the boat regularly up to 300 km return trips.
-Cruising/Day Trips, after speaking with many people that little bit less weight helps out too while on the water making the boat more economical when going for a cruise.
-Although from a ride point of view opinions are rife!
-Bit of an unknown with regards to the top end performance of the new engine so that bit might be a bit of a surprise, everyone likes to go fast every now and then.
-In the end also as this will also be my first Wake Boat the price point here in Australia is a killer, we built up the 230 for $180,000 compared to the G21 & G23 with when optioned up are closed to $240,000 with the dollar when I ordered last month. While similar to yourself the pricing wasn't the main objective in the end it has some influence towards your decision. $60,000 is a **** of a lot of Fuel for the boat!

JV92, No I still haven't made a purchase yet. My construction business has played havoc on all of my plans so far or should I say the weather? I was just about ready to pull the plug and by a 2014 super air 230 with only 34.2 hours on it, and the weekend I was going to go to see it and demo it was a ruined by a high wind storm and plenty of rain.

That one has been sold, so I possibly missed a great deal there, but we can hardly get through an entire week here in VA without rain, and it's really putting me behind in my business, so I've had to use a lot of my weekends "catching up on work and trying to stay on schedules".

Now that it has gotten so far through our summer here, I've decided to finish these few house I'm building and then try to "catch" a good deal here at the end of summer on a "leftover" 2015 model, since the 2016 are starting to be released.

I definetely need to get something done before too long as I want to have everything ready for next years vacations. Did you test a G21 and 230? what were your opinions on the rides, and differences? I'm personally still leaning more to a 230 also.

Thanks for asking and telling us what you decided to do!
