For anyone who is not aware of what happened at the Masters on Sunday, you need to read the press release that Nautique released.
It can be found HERE.
I was sitting (standing, actually) in the stands with the guys from Roswell and SeaDek, and we were casually watching the Pro Men's Wakeboard Finals. Harley Clifford was next-to-last off the dock. He rode very well through his first pass, and then at the end of his first pass, he threw a double flip, followed by a second double flip! The crowd went crazy! He continued his run with plenty of additional technical tricks, standing up both passes. He was given a double-up, since he stood up his passes, and he threw a third double-flip!
He was awarded the FIRST-EVER perfect 100-point score in WWA history, and it was well-deserved!
It is almost ten hours later as I am typing this, and I am still in shock of what I saw go down today. This was for sure the best wakeboarding run I have ever seen in my life.
The wake behind the G23 was incredible, and the driving by Kyle Rattray was spot-on, but Harley really stepped up and deserves a ton of credit for this accomplishment!
Phil Soven was top seed in the finals, so he was last on the dock, and had to ride right after all of this went down. I can't imagine how tough that must have been for him.
