    LINK 2 Freezes

Has anyone else had an issue with the Link 2 system freezing? This occurred last season about 5 times and just happened again this season after the dealer performed their "system update" to fix the problem. When it freezes, I shutdown the boat completely and reboot and everything works as advertised. My boat is a 2013 210 if that helps.

Try to determine exactly what steps are taking place when it freezes and then give that info to your dealer. It could be a bug they are not aware of yet and they really need to see the issue to troubleshoot it so all info you can give them will help. My linc has frozen just a few times over three years but I had it flashed this spring with an update and it's been good so far.

I have a 2012 210 and before I added the NSS last winter the link froze up on me a couple of times a season. In the 17ish months since adding the NSS which required some kind of update to the linc to the 2013 version (which meant losing the 2012 Byerly specific version of some of the screens) it hasn't frozen once and the stereo volume hasn't gone crazy knock on wood.

        Good Advise

We had an similar issue and realized that the screen would lock up when changing source on the head unit. We unplugged the harness from the head unit and everything was great (no stereo) for the remainder of the day. I was sure by us isolating it to the head unit it was the issue. Took it to the dealer, they worked with Nautique and determined we needed a specific software update. I didn't buy into that and felt the head unit should have been replaced...I was wrong and they were right. It was frustrating as it was our first trip out with friends and family in the new ride. There was another thread about a month ago regarding Linc 2 issues and a software update solved that as well. Good luck

I also have a 2013 210 and have had the Linc freeze maybe twice but it rebooted easily. Haven't had anything for a long while. Good luck.

My linc wouldn't reboot this spring. I pulled it out of the dash, sent it to my dealer and they reflashed it with the latest version and returned it to me. All it cost me was UPS both ways and a couple of pizzas. 30 minutes to R&R. Been perfect since then.
