Changes for 2016

Has anybody heard of any changes for 2016? Allegedly big changes for the G but who knows as all of this is subjective.

They showed off the new PCM 6.2 (l86) engine (Hsix they called it) in the wakeboard masters final video around the 2 hour mark. I imagine they will find their way into boats soon.

I just made the biggest unnecessary purchase of my life and I'll be really upset if it's dated within a year. I asked if there was anything new coming when I was at the factory and they said no. New engine isn't a big deal though.

That new L86 Looks to have a real good torque curve, good low end without giving up top end power.

I have seen the new ones, but I am going to PCM in about a week to learn more.

It's inevitable... lol. I hate it, but it's how the manufactures survive. If they were still making the 2007 version of a 211 in 2016... no one would want one. I did the same thing with my Camaro. New ones come out, I am like I would like a convertible... I patiently wait for the verts to come out... buy one and 3 months later have Chevy announce the ZL1 and 1LE version... now, my new "baby" is so last years news.

Oh and with the boat in your sig, I would not worry too much!! I am super jealous of the G's and hope to pick up a "gently" used one in a few years...

I guess that is my question also. Most boats, cars etc… will change model and style every 5 years. Seeing that the G sells so well and is wanted it is coming close to the time in 1-2 years that this would be possible. Just wondering when they'll make the next body, hull change? Minor changes year to year, not so big deal. But when you get something like a change in body/hull change it sparks much more demand.

Start of July the new ones are built i believe.

Im picking new motors and maybe a couple small improvements nothing massive one thing id like to see is hydaulic steering but im picking that wont happen,.

Where do you see this new engine in the line up? Will this replace the 450, an addition or something else?

My bet, Nautique works on the G surfwake - that it looks more clean then it looks now. And another bet.. better, or more, storage for wake and surfboards like Surfpockets, 4 Racks and a little kick to z-bimini ;-).

The Engine... better fuel economy is nice to have if you buy a new boat, but i'm happy with the power of the 409 in my G21. Ok, PCM has to deal with the competition from Indmar and Ford...

I've ridden in a Moonba Mojo and Supra SG and the Ford engines are VERY nice, tons of torque in the 400 and 440.. I hear that the Ford 6.2 is going away so if that happens it will be short lived and another change for those companies that adopted the Indmar Ford engines.

I'd like to see hydraulic steering and clamping racks for 2016.

+1 for surf pockets as long as they are easily accessible.
