tower dilemna

Ryan- yeah was partially joking. I agree power tower is kats a$$ for sure and perfect for this situation. But pricey and limited what boats(x25,star, 45) u can find it on, very limited I think. I was just saying that almost any of the newer 2point towers are extreme simple to lower and raise. Even me 11yr daughter can raise and lower both the MC and CC 2pt towers. Ofcourse a 2yr old could do a power tower!

And as mentioned changing out the tower to a factory 2 pt tower would only increase the value of the boat to me!
Assuming done professionally!

Also I know of no real quick connect speaker brackets? I have WS and can remove and install my 1 in under a minute required 4 Allen bolts. It's a tough tower for sure, I'm 6'1" and lift a lot and still a chore for me but have done it hundreds of times prob by now as I need to lower every time to get into garage.

Exile Audio has quick release tower speakers.

Its gonna cost him $3-6k to get a quality 2 point tower put on there right, by the time he gets the fiberglass repairs done right to cover up the tower holes he'll leave. And he still is going to have bimini issues if he likes to use one. Likely wont be able without a PITA. Likely its not gonna be feasible to use one. The bad thing is he has kids. they need a bimini for a full day out on the water.

Quality 2 point towers aren't cheap...Roswell OEM variants... start in the 2-3k range.

The ultimate solution is the power tower without question. I am not saying the power tower is flawless and it is certainly no speed demon, but you can not beat the convenience for this type of problem.

I realize that this is not the economical solution, but trading in your current boat for one a few years newer with the much easier to fold 2 point tower would substantially improve the ease of raising and lowering. Or, retrofit a newer tower on to your boat as mentioned. But cost wise, it might not be that different to get a boat a few years newer that already had a 2 point tower.

While there is still some hassle from a bimini stand point, folding the 2 point towers with spring assisted shocks is a walk in the park compared to what you have now and is easily accomplished by one adult.

well, i had the tower installed. Of course, now I need to still get all the accessories so I guess I'll need to cut off my leg. I already gave an arm. If anyone has any suggestions on modifying my old accessories to fit please let me know. Obviously there will be no modifying the bimini. It's the roswell aviator tower. I'm trying to salvage two board racks and two wetsounds speakers. Thanks for any advice!

Roswell may have an adapter for the board racks to make them fit the aviator. I'm sure Wetsounds will have an adapter too.

What kind of board racks do you have? when I went from the original gen 1 FCT that came on my 99 to a NDT I was able to get a new larger clamp for my mirror mount from DIYwake. They have a bunch of different clamps so they might have something that will work for you too. I would love to see some pics of your new setup when you get a chance.
