Looks like a Ski Nautique Open Bow, however the 2001 brochure does not list one. I did see it in the 2000 model year brochure. Definitely NOT an Air Nautique.

That is a Ski (196). I believe it was classified as an Air 196. Also, back in 2000-2002, they had an Air Nautique, Pro Air Nautique and Super Air Nautique. I used to know the differences between the Air Nautique and Pro Air, but that info is long gone.

Thanks... I was thinking it had to be an snob with tower (making it an air). Bit I would bet no ballast.... no place for it... also... dealer info shows... vdrive... it is not...

That is definitely a SNOB with tower and Air graphics. Factory ballast was not an option on that boat.

Dave, the Air/Sport and Super Air/Super Sport share the same hull with the only difference direct drive vs V drive. The Pro Air was a direct drive that had the TWC (Total Wake Control) hull. I believe the dimensions were the same as the above 4 boats but it was designed to sit deeper and create a bigger wake.

Putting a tower on a SNOB does not make it an Air Nautique nor does adding graphics . 1) A true Air had a walk-through windshield. 2) This boat is not 21 feet long. Probably a 196 as pointed out by Skidave. 3) There is no packing shaft access cover in front of the rear seat. 4) The center cushion of the rear seat is too narrow when compared to an Air.This is due to the smaller hull length (19.6) which reduces the transom width. 5) An Air come with standard ballast tanks. Clearly the dealer has no idea what he is selling.

The difference between a Pro Air and regular Air as s_kelley points out is the hull. the Pro Air had the TWC hull.

LOL, so what is a 206 with tower & ballast or a sport with tower and ballast?? Seriously though, in the direct drive arena post 98' CC offered quite a few variations with "Air" graphics including the 176 huill, the SNOB hull and the Sport Hull, your Pro is probably the closest thing to a True Air if there is one. When you ordered the "Air" package it really just a bundle of options included at one price, pricing everything out option by option to create the same boat usually brought you to the same number in the end.
BTW, your boat is badazz, I had a 99' Sport/Air same color but the top strip was Black, after seeing yours, if I had it to do again I would definitely go Blue/Blue like yours!

Above boat is a SNOB with a tower, price is a bit high IMO

Just confirming: SNOB with a tower. SNOBs had the observer seat that crossed over to the helm. The Sports/Airs of that vintage had a walk thru with a "playpen" bow (e.g. raised floor).

Not 100% accurate, I would define a playpen as no footwell, 98' Sport/Air had a small step up to a playpen, 99'-02' had a walkthrough to an open bow with a footwell (filler cushion was available which would cover the footwell)
