When do I use the Belly ballast ??

I am still learning my boat and have a 2010 216v LE.. I has 3 hard tanks, 2 in back and 1 in belly. Last night I filled the back 2 only and had the Hydro Gate on 3. (only 2 adults onb board) I wasnt really satisfied with my wake.

Are you asking in regards to surfing or wakeboarding? Either way, on that boat belly ballast is always your friend. We filled ours for every sport, including slalom skiing. It helped get the butt out of the water. If you are looking for a surf wave out of stock ballast it won't happen, just not the hull for it.

Just wakeboarding sir.. For some reason I was thinking that for wakeboarding I would want the butt in the water as much as possible ??

For 211s/216s, they have a better wakeboard wake when they are weighted more evenly.

You should fill all the ballast tanks.

In most boats, for wakeboarding, you'll want to utilize all of the factory ballast. If you end up adding additional ballast, keep the ratios of rear:front weight close to what the factory ratio is. From there, you can make slight adjustments to tailor the wake to your liking.

This advice is spot on. Just to add to the part about tailoring it to your liking, in general more weight in the front will make the wake rampier while more weight in rear will make it steeper.
