    Dang Ducks!!!!!

So we jumped off in the deep end and bought a new boat instead of a pre owed this time. So as you can imagine I'm a little tense about anything happening to the new ride. Tonight it's second trip to the lake..... Yep second!!! I'm driving and I notice something that at first I thought were leaves blowing around in the boat on the highway. Hmmmm what the heck is that I'm thinking to myself! I know I did not hit a tree with the tower. So I keep watching little whatever's fly around back there and then I notice a bag of some sort. I keep watching and I get it!!! An open potatoe chip bag flying around in the boat!!!! At 65 mph I'm watching an open family size potatoe chip bag fly around slinging potatoe fragments everywhere!!!! Well it appears that my wife decided to take the "duck" food to the lake. She slipped a grocery sack with various old breads, chips and crackers over in the boat right before we took off. Yep looked like my youngest son after an hour or two of chip demoltion all over the inside. I guess I could have been much worse and we ended laughing about after we exchanged a few words. Can't have anything nice with those dang ducks!!!

What about feeding the "cute little duckies" when you are on the water, and they decide to make your platform their home.

chips are better than cheetos.......easier to clean up. I have a no food on the boat rule unless you eat on the swim platform.

X2 as well, eating is restricted to the swim grid...glad I'm not the only one with this rule. The missus thinks it's a bit silly, but then I never see her when it's time to clean the boat at the end of the day either 😉

Even after 12 years in our boat, I still turn into 'that guy' when my kids are eating in the boat. We have learned to put towels on their laps when they eat. That helps, but we still get crumbs on the floor. The worst are crackers / chips. I feel for you with that bag flying around!

Flying around (dry) is one thing. Wait till you have half a bag of wet chips trampled into the carpet. Then the fun begins!

It's just a boat. Enjoy it. I'm also a bit nuts and my boat is old but.at the end of the day it is a hull and a motor with miscellaneous pieces and parts to pull me across the water.

Haha. I'm a boat Nazi too. I like the rule of only eating on the swim platform. My only rule right now is no orange snacks (Cheetos, Doritos, etc.) and no spray sun screen on the boat. If I buy the drinks for the kids they drink Diet Sprite because its clear and not sticky when they inevitably spill it. I'm glad to hear Im not the only "clean freak" with "issues".
