JD Webb @ Lake Anna last night

Got a chance to ride with JD Webb and Thad Nurmi (Hyperlite Rep) last evening at Lake Anna behind Thad's G23. They were incredibly nice, patient and strong teachers. And, JD put on a show to cap the evening. I highly recommend tagging along if your local wake shop puts an event together.

Man, that's awesome - I would have come to town for that! How did you find out about it? I missed Shawn Murray up at LKA last year for a Hyperlite event!

There were two guys dropping all kinds of hammers in front of our house on Elk Creek Monday. We have some pretty good riders on our side, but nothing close to these guys. Rode behind a white Wakesetter with green and black trim. Know of any other pro's who might have been in town this week?

I don't know anybody else that might have been around. Crunkfest is this weekend, so guys may have been "practicing." I got a message from Wake Anna (the wakeboard store at Anna Point). They had a few spots for sale for $40. Seemed like something worth trying, so I signed up. It was totally worth it. Hyperlite let you try any board/boot you wanted and made recommendations based on your ability, size, etc. They asked what we were trying to improve or add and helped each rider accomplish something new during their set. One young guy that was riding, his name was Gordy I think, was pretty good. Pulled multiple back flips, spins, etc. He has a place in Contrary Creek. You might want to get on Wake Anna's "list" and see if you can get notification next time.

I missed Shawn Murray last year as well and was sorry to miss it. Hopefully this is an annual (or better) thing.

Kyle will be down this weekend. He's a Hyperlite rider with a day job. We're getting coaching from him Sunday. Not sure yet where we'll be. I sure miss Devin. He was a great coach and friend. Also nice to have either of them behind your boat! They make this whole wakeboard thing look easy! White and blue 226.

Sweet pics! Thad is an awesome guy. I met him 2 summers ago doing the same thing at the Hyperlite Experience at MaCallum's Boat House in NH. He did a clinic with Trever Maur and a G23 and it was lots of fun. Here are a few pics from that day
