Powder or Paint it is always about the prep before you paint. 81 has a great point, an Industrial type paint will hold up much better than an automotive base coat with clear. I had my last trailer sand blasted and painted with epoxy primer and a two part urethane top coat by an Industrial Tank Painter and it looked great after seven years.
