Design Package

Looking to order a 2016 G23. Can you guys share your thoughts about the design package? I like the look but it seems like a pricey option. I don't want to regret the omission if I choose not to get it. Any regrets out there for adding it or not having it? I have done a lot of lurking and searching the site looking at all options and the forum members' feedback, but if you have any sage advice for me I would appreciate your thoughts.

I can say that I hav no regrets about the design package. I feel it tries in the colors well and and nice lines.

I totally agree. I didn't think it mattered until I saw 2 boats side by side with and without the design package. It just makes the boat pop.

Design package is nice but I just felt it was not worth the money. When I sell the boat years from now I do no think that will steer a buyer away since I opted for other options that make my boat unique.

It's your boat so pick what you feel is best for you and your family. There's no right or wrong decision.

I thought it was a terribly overpriced option for what it is. $3474 for window vents and a few accent colors on the tower did not make the cut for me. When I looked at a few used boats and they felt the boat merited an extra 3K for those things, it seemed even less valuable. It does look neat, just not 3K neat. Despite the perception that some of us with these expensive boats should just give out money for every little thing, I think that 3K is a lot of money.

My buddy who has it says that the window vents do nothing in terms of actual air flow.

I thought is was too much for what you get. But assuming you don't get a payback from it, look at it this way. If you keep the boat 5 years would it be worth $700/year to you.

I like the air vents. I disagree about them not changing the airflow. I get very hot easily, and these do direct some air at the driver, which is great for me.

That being said, the price is quite high...

Although I do like the vent idea, I personally didn't get them because to me it gives the boat a "Lego" look with that section on the window. I liked the non-designer clean window look. I do though, like how this year they offered more colors to match the tower pieces and still would have gotten a G if it was the only window available. Just my 2cents.
