After speaking to legal advice dealer decided that nautique would not cover and in essence "voided" warranty on these repairs. Since such action was taken and decided it is responsibility of dealer to "prove" that I was at fault.

Well last bit here and I will be done. When I was a Malibu owner I was at odds with 2 out of 3 dealers it tried to work with. You want no part of that. To have a good boat ownership experience you gotta have a good relationship with your dealer. Trust me in this.
This is a 2014 G21, not an early 90s direct drive ski boat that you can run on down to Napa and throw parts at. Most any engine issue and nearly every warranty issue will require dealer support.
Good luck and hope this gets resolved fast.2019 G23 450

So just to come full circle we are missing some of the finer details here in this mess that are pretty prudent.
Why did you not request a walk through of your baot upon delivery?
How long did you have the boat until the issues came about with taking on water?
Did you leave your boat dunked with the batteries in the off position and the seacocks open?
How long of a period was your boat sitting in the water after you knew there was a small leak?
To me the stereo issues are usually not a dealer issue on tuning. As long as it's functioning that's their limits. Boat stereos are their own beast. There are very few dealers that can actually "tune" a system and boat stereos from the factory are not really wired in the most optimal performance standpoint. Most of your issues I hate to say are " new boat issues".
We can go back and forth on the strainer blame game. You said you had the boat for 3 weeks. In my eyes if the strainer was cross threaded anytime in those 3 weeks you would have experienced excessive water in the bilge at an alarming rate. That obviously did not occur in the first the weeks. Especially since you kept your batteries off. You did express you thought maybe there was a small leak. Did you look around? Did you find where it was coming from ? No you decided to leave your boat in the water for a period of time knowing it was leaking. Who does this? Seriously. At some point you need to realize it's YOUR boat and YOU bear some responsibility here. There aren't many G's in the water here. I am assuming yours is the G I saw beached the other day at the sand bar?
As far as the dealership itself. I know they have been around a bit and there are not many in the area. I have had friends and family take delivery of used and new boats from them. Each and every boat, used and new got a complete walk through with the owner.....in the new cases it was a few hours. Any issues on site were immediately addressed. I would love to hear someone from the Boat House give their side because there is obviously some things missing here to fill in the blanks. I know for a fact they send mechanics out on site to address major issues. I also know being such a tight community in the northern region here in Illinois dealers go the extra mile in most cases. My experiences are the complete opposite as yours. The argument here all stems from the strainer. All the other issues now can be attributed to that. Fo cleaning the bilge...... Why would you expect them to clean out the bilge when they feel the part that failed is your responsibility? It's not their job to clean up your mess. Again that's because they feel you were at fault for the strainer.
I definitely feel if the boat still isn't running properly they need to address that, but that's actually again going to be tricky. If the dealership thinks it's your fault why are they going to put their credibility for warranty issues on the line for their dealership with Nautique? This is tough call for either party. Just crappy situation all around, but your blame 100% on the dealer is just wrong. New boats have quirks and that's the entire reason for a thorough walk through upon delivery which brings us back to stage 1. Why was that not done?

I may have missed this somewhere along the rants/ replies but, did Luxuryfoster at any point remove strainer basket during the course of his ownership? I don't see that and as stated in the original post he states the boat was taking on water shortly after delivery of the boat, in which he did notify/ contact the dealer. Is it possible the strainer was not placed on correctly by the dealer prior to delivery and upon winterization which may have contributed to the overheat condition due to sucking in air? Lots of possibilities but the OP does not appear to have disturbed anything mechanical with the boat. I don't disagree that there is some two way responsibility but there was a leak present from the onset of the boat being purchased.2008 210 SANTE

I'm over it! This forum should be removed and Luxuryfoster owes the dealer and the planetnautique family an apology! This guy shouldn't own a inboard! He beaches his boat, he has no respect for anyone doing watersports while he's zig zagging down the river pulling his tubbers. He has 120K boat but can't afford a boat lift, he barley covers his boat....Here is the untold story and the part he left out of his dragged out letter. We live on a mud bottom river. Mr. Foster beaches his boat all the time, he cleaned out his sea strainer and cross threaded it! NOT ONLY did that cause the boat to fill up but I personally called the dealer to tell them that this idiots cover was off his boat during the worst rain storm we've had all season. I called because his boat wasn't on a lift and his batteries were dead or he turned them off! The boat was sinking! I know for a fact that the service director of the dealer personally went to the marina to bail it out! The damage was done FOSTER, Oh and the dealer gave you a F'n 120k G23 demo during the repair process (where did you mention this in your letter). I could go into much more detail but it's not worth my time. FOSTER YOU DON'T DESERVE TO OWN A NAUTIQUE!

I'd like to hear from the owner (Foster) regarding this post. Assuming this is true it would explain a lot.

What I choose to do with my boat I OWN is my right I've already posted I leave my boat on a slip and don't have a lift I have done so with my las 3 boats including an SA350.. My cover was off a few times for a few hours and timeline wise had nothing to do with this issue. I was waiting for this to get turned this way. I never realized you had to deserve to own a boat. I'm not borrowing my boat I own it. I have posted a pic of text when cover was off boat also in picture is boat taking on water with cover on. I thought u text to let fellow owner know cover was off boat to help out not as a low blow shot. I keep my boat at a marina that has been a household name on the fox for decades I am waitin on an email from them stating not only did I not remove the sea strainer but that he has never seen me work on this boat or any other boat. I'm a simple guy who doesn't like confrontation I work very long hours and have little precious time to spend with my family boating. I am in no way an expert and bought a new boat I rely heavily on my dealer and have always been willing to pay for service to keep my stuff in top working order. I also wish no harm on my dealer and fell bad that everyone is involved in this situation. I feel however that the chain of events and continued issues show that the key issue and liability of the sea strainer is not on me. I will also ask u this if I'm such a dumbass who knows nothing about proper boating and his equipment then how could I have had a breakthrough moment that allowed me to close seacocks remove clean and reinstall sea strainer??? I never touched the strainer and it was like that by another party other than myself.

Foster, Comprehension is key here, If the dealer cross threaded your sea strainer before delivery, don't you think you would have noticed within the weeks before The Boat House bailed you out? I would think you would have noticed when you were doing circles around me with your docking lights on while I was surfing (must be that tuber mentality)! I think we can relate this to a rain storm, boat not covered, batteries dead or turned off and the idiocy of not pulling your boat. BTW, you already gave Supra a bad name with your obnoxious wrap, beaching your boat and the way you drive! Don't ruin Nautiques name!
