I am heading out this long weekend with the goal of getting the surfing bug. I was wondering if anyone with the same type of setup could help with some words or wisdom. I understand nss is a big help but it will not be installed for this trip. Thanks in advance. Happy 4th all.

Here is a good starting point:
Surf side rear tank full +300-400# bag
Belly tank full.
300+# in bow as far forward as you can get it.
Perfect Pass at 10.6 MPH
Do not use a wakeboard handle for safety reasons!!
If you have at least 3 people in the boat you can manuver/ place them to fine tune the wave. Keep in mind that shallow water surfing is hard to form a good wave in. You will need to be aware of how the boat handles especially when decelerating since you will have the boat leaned over fairly well. I have found that it is easier to work with getting the wave shaped/ formed before putting someone out on the board to surf. You will save a lot of time and headache....
Others on here will also have information for you.
