Anyone have experience on both waves to provide input on which is better? I do not want to put ballast on the seats and would be adding NSS to either if it didn't have it. Looking at getting a 2011-2012. Thx!

I can only tell you about 2013 and after with NSS. you can get a bigger longer wave on the 230 no question with proper weight. However the 210 is a great wave so the real question is does it matter. Only you can answer that. The bigger question could be storage, type of boating and type of lake you are on. Very quiet lake with just family and maybe another couple the 210 could be a great boat.

When you say "proper weight" what do you mean? Hope no bags on the seats....."I'm on a boat........"

You will want to plumb extra bags in the lockers on either. We did the same exact thing you are thinking about. Went from a 216V to a 2013 210. I can tell you the 210 with a little extra weight plumbed in will be night and day from what you have now. Not only from a wave perspective but from an ease perspective. We have zero regrets.

I have a 2011 230 but have been on a 210 many times. Here are my thoughts. The 230 sacked out would be my pick. I went with the fly high additional ballast system piggy backed into the stock system. The bags in the lockers are 750s. I also use a 400 on the drivers side where that cheap cooler is on the 230 and under the seat storage on the port side. You would only fill the side you are surfing.
You can't put NSS on a 2011 but I have been emailing with wake makers about their wave control system. However I think I want to hold off until someone else with a 230 trys it out

You can put the NSS on, just not hooked up to LINC. Someone told me though that adding NSS to a pre-2014 hull doesn't work that well and makes the wave washy.... something to do with the swim platform and the amount of freeboard. Telling me better to just list the boat. True?"I'm on a boat........"

Subscribe. NEver heard of '12 owners having issues with adding NSS, curious though if that is the case, and how many of the 2012 230 owners who have done it can either agree or disagree if it is worth doing or if there are any issues with it?

You got bad news on the pre 2014 models not working well with NSS. There are plenty of examples on here proving that wrong. The tweaks to the 2014's may have made things a little better, but I will argue not noticeable to most of us on here. You cannot order NSS for pre-2012 models I don't believe. It is my understanding they require a hull number in order to purchase it.
I am usually the driver and don't have a lot of adult passengers so I don't have any good pictures of our wave, but just search around a bit and you will find some. Search threads started by user name ninja, should bring up something.

2009 216V with 1150 lbs extra in rear surf side and 300 lbs extra in the bow.
2013 210 with just 400 lbs extra plumbed in each rear locker and a 370 lb tube sac in center ballast locker.
It's real hard to tell the height, but it is real nice for not having a lot of weight. I run NSS so that it flattens the wave to give more riding length. You can make it steeper and shorter if that is your cup of tea.
