2008 Air Nautique 226 Limited - WAKESURF Edition

I am a proud, new owner of a 2008 Air Nautique 226 Limited. The hull throws an amazing wake for wakeboarding (20+ mph), but I am no longer a competitive wakeboarder due to knee injuries and I want to transition the rig into a Wakesurf boat.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming I can purchase some kind of correct craft trim tab system to assist with making my boat tuned for wakesurfing. I was also shown a custom exhaust pipe built for a 2010 Super Air 210 (see image attached). Does anyone know how to get a hold of an exhaust system like the one shown here?

Congrats. Not sure about the trim system but you can get a fresh air exhaust for it.

I also have the 226 and you may run into a problem with aurf tabs. The stepped hull on the 226 is a challenge for tabs. There is a thread on this site about the wakemakers tabs and the response to me about 226's. I surf mine with 400 lbs in the back surf side, all passengers to one side and full belly. Nice surf wake either side.

Oh yeah, I think you can get the hydrogate, but not sure if that will help much for surfing. There's also a thread here about the hydrogate and surfing.

What does a hydro gate do for wakesurfing? http://www.nautiqueparts.com/hydroga...11216v226.aspx

Search the threats for hydro gate position and surfing. It was covered pretty well. Not 226 hull specific but same principles.
