Engineering ideas to fold down FCT1 (one man) - 2006 SAN TE

I just purchased a 2006 SAN TE that has an FCT1 tower. I never imagined how heavy these really are, especially trying to push the tower forward, then walk it to the bow to fold down. I know pulleys start eliminating weight transfer and wasn't sure if I can make some sort of pulley system to drop the tower myself. Most of the time I will have someone with me to drop the tower and slap it in my garage. However, I'm concerned about the time I don't have anyone to assist and wanted to figure out how to rig something up.

Or maybe the question arises, can a FCT2 Titan tower still be purchased for this boat? I absolutely love the look of the FCT2, but not sure if it can still be purchased now that Malibu bought Titan years ago.

Been monitoring this site for almost 8 years as a Malibu owner, now I'm on here as a SAN owner.

Probably not what you want to hear, but would it be easier to "build" a bench that fits in the walkway that you could step up on to help with leverage and the weight?

I seriously think that would be cheaper and easier than buying another tower. I know it doesn't help with the weight overall, but I am 6'4" and have to pretty much stand on my tippy toes to put the tower forward on my 211. If I had a bunch of speakers, I don't think I could do it alone.

Congrats on the Nautique!! I have owned all 3 at one point (2000 Malibu Sunsetter LXI, 2005 Mastercraft X-2, 2007 211)

Titan towers is now star one wake, but I'm not sure if they could make another FCT2. Also, a 2006 210 is far narrower than any of the boats that came with a FCT2, so it would have to be custom. You could also see if you could get an FCT3. Someone installed one on a 210

Also, you could look into a Roswell Aviator tower. It looks nice on sport nautiques, but I haven't seen any photos of it on a 210.

You could possibly modify a fishing gaff to have a "U" shape that you could use to push up with, then at the weight transfer point lower slowly. Most gaffs are really light, strong aluminum. I tried to fold this tower once by myself and ran into the same problem, they are heavy!

          Do you have a 210 or 220?
