    Ignition Switch on Dash

On my boat there is a master switch, I think called "Ignition", that kills all power to anything electrical...my question to those with elaborite stereo systems, does anyone have a problem with loosing the setting on your headunit (bass, filters, eq, etc) when the ignition switch is turned off? If so do you leave that switch on all the time?

The settings in the Clarion head unit stay and do not get erased when you turn the power off using the switch, if that's what you're talking about.

it's all in how you wire it. the head unit will have a wire for constant power, it needs to be wired in before the ignition switch.

What Jeepn said. The head unit has 2 power wires. One constant power and one switch power (ignition button). Look at your head unit and trace the contstant power wire (mostly yellow) and connect it directly at the battery.
