Not mine, no connections to company or experience with them, no mention of nautiques yet, but I'm sure they are on the horizon, thought some of you older nautique owners might be interested.

This will be interesting. There's a thread on PN where a guy made some for his 226. They look pretty sweet. But .... are these placing stress on the swim platform for which it was not designed? More lateral than down force?

I had made one for my '05 210 out of plywood and a cutting board from walmart- made a huge difference... I assume one "professionally" built would be even better.
I never saw any issues with mine, but I guess time will tell; I just find it exciting that someone is actually doing this and getting that one could be as easy as placing an order and waiting for it to show up on your doorstep.

They may be able to avoid Malibu in that the BU system is hydraulic and this attaches to the swim platform. I'll bet that if you call BU or Nautique theyll say dont attach to playform. Hard to argue violating patent when they dont recommemd it.

I believe that the Malibu patent includes how the water is diverted. In this case, if the "big boys" wanted to go after the "little guys", they most likely would have a solid case. The reality is that they most likely would not pursue suing the "little guys", as these are designed to be added to existing boats. The manufacturers most likely only care about the IP that involves the sale of new boats...that's where the money is.

No exactly the same. The Mission's look easier to install and remove and the Wicked Wake's look more factory.

The BU patent is based on how it moves water and the hull without damage to the boat and safely to the rider and passengers. That was sort of my point. Your point is also well taken. There's no money in aftermarket, but if the product becomes too successful, manufactuers will act. They want you to purchase a new boat or a used boat with their product. Either way, they capture market share.

Ok. So if anyone gets one of these systems, I would love to hear about it.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why ALL of the aftermarket surf systems and products like this and the wicked wake one haven't made something for an OG 210!!
Seems like they would sell. I talked to wicked wake 5 months ago they still haven't made one for a Nautique 210, the guys at wakemakers... Theirs is to big and they are designing a smaller one, emailed theses guys and response was we don't have one for Nautique (but they do for other brands) but we are coming out with a universal one that would work. Really? Other boats get a specific one and nautiques have to use a universal one. Am I missing something here? Why is it taking so long for someone to have something made for an OG 210?

I hear ya! Not 100% sold that attaching to the swim platform wont do damge over time, but one at least designed for the boat may be better. Clearly there's some market for Nautique devices and Nautique doesnt seem to lead a charge on patent litigation if there is even an issue with it.

Friend of mine got one of these type of things for his malibu, and it broke. It just split at one of the seems or joints or something. And they are not so easy to get a hold of for repair or refund. I think I would pass on it, if it were me.

Check these guys out... they did something on the OG 210. Wonder how it would really work. Look at their pics.
