this may sound crazy but has anyone ever done a mod by adding another seat behind the driver side seat? It almost seems like it would be similar to the middle seat on the port side that has a cooler in it. I unscrewed this and it basically looks like a square HPDE box with a molded in cooler and 4 cup holders. Seems like you could build a treated wood/fiberglassed square box with a replica skin and cushion to match???

Thought about that myself, actually took measurements and was planning on incorporating a FUNCTIONAL ice chest....never got around to it of course. Also considered a mirror image of the port side rear bottom seat cushion to replace its counterpart on the starboard side so everything would look nice and symetrical....but I think you end up with issues getting it to fit behind the drivers seat. One thing I noticed is that the curvature of the side wall of the boat is not consistent, so if it's not in the same location lenght way along the side, then the "box" will be slightly different dimensionally than existing if you want it nice and flush with the sidewall.

I decided to unscrew that Port Side Middle seat and move it over to the other side and it fits perfectly! Now I'm curious if I can just order the cushion and skin and build a sub box there with the matching cushion for the port side. Now i'm determined to build one. I just need help finding the cushion. I emailed nautiqueparts.com hoping they reply and help me match the entire cushion.

this is what the port side seat looks like on the starboard side. Obviously if I built a box and fiberglassed it, I wouldn't need to make it as big as the port side MFG HPDE box. Reason being is they made it bigger to flow with the entire seat from front to back for a full bench stadium seating look. If I build a sub box for this, i would make it a down firing 12" port box since the height on this is 9" max.
The dimensions of that box is 9" height x 30" length and the box has a slight angle on it to match the curve of the port side gunnel wall. The first depth measure is 21". The back of the box towards the rear is 22" depth. (So the MFG put a 1" offset to match and fit up against the side wall.
For me, I wouldn't go 30" in length since there is no need and the MFG cushion is about 26". You could almost go 27" length with the offset depths and height with a firing down sub would be killer!

I took measurements and actually built a box that houses two 10" subs and 4 extra cup holders so, that it looks like the port side. I then ordered a seat cushion from Correct craft. It looks like the other seats, I call it the fun box, turn up the bass a little and have a seat.

Wow, it's the infamous WakeJunky!! I ordered tons of gator grip from you for my Malibu VLX in Arizona back in the day. Glad to see you are still around the wake worlds.. Do you happen to have any pics of that box you can post up? Or dimensions? Are they down firing subs or is it a bandpass box?

Is your seat white cloud with silver metallic piping? I may have a spare seat cushion that color but will have to look. The colors might be different. My dealer screwed up when I ordered my boat back in 2003 so I have an extra seat. I'll look at it today and let you know.Jason
