have a 2004 santé 210. is it possible to get a enough push to go ropeless with stock ballast and a few ppl? baby on the way and wife has cut my toy buying budget out! so I don't really want to spend a lot of $$$ on ballast.

probably not unless a few ppl are large. But you can get creative about weight and not spend a ton of $$. When I had my 04 we would fill a single 750 fatsac and I had about 360lbs of lead weights that I would move around to tune it.

I"m sure you could find some cheap weight somewhere (craigslist etc.) to use. I bet you could surf ropeless with about 500lbs total.

we usually have 8-10 ppl. I weigh 200# the board is inland surfer swt spot pro 4'8" I have 100# of lead in the bow that I can move around. I usually run rear port full and belly full with 0 in the opposite side.

I like that. but if I spend any $ I will go ahead and do it rite and upgrade the rears to 750 and an ibs. just really wondering if its possible with just stock. if not I can deal with the rope until next year.

8-10 people. You should be able to do it. I only had my 3 kids and wife. I ride a sweet spot 4.8 too. I'm 190lbs.

Try belly 1/2 full to see if you can get more lean.

I had a 2005, and if you have 8 people, you can def surf the wave... Especially goofy side. You do have to list the boat pretty decent and I actually put some duct tape over just the side vent that we would surf so no water entered. Don't cover both vents at same time.

Same here. I also duct tape the bilge/ballast holes as well to prevent water back flowing into the bilge. Just gotta remember to remove the taped up holes when you head back to dock and want to drain the ballast etc.
