06 210 Air questions\Problems

Just got the boat (upgraded from 97 Sport Nautique). great ride. couple of questions that you guys can probably answer:

1. Every several minutes the gauges lose power (reset to 0 and back). Engine keeps normal operation, Stereo keeps running, only the gauges reset. Has anyone encountered such a problem?

2. When hitting the M on the speedometer window I cycle to SOG, LOG,
COG. All 3 say: NO SIGNAL. Anyone knows what that is?

3. Using the Horn kills almost all power (e.g. stereo)

uhhh, warranty? did you buy it new from dealer? take it back and make them fix it.

Probably just a loose connection somewhere. I'm sure the dealer will be able to fix it quickly.

The info you are seeing when you hit the "m" button is for features that another boat manufacturer uses. They are there but won't do anything for you. Sounds like you have a loose wire somewhere in your boat. I would go back to your dealer. Sounds like it is South East Correct Craft. Those guys will be able to get you fixed up.

I had a similar problem with the addition of the engine going to "limp" mode occasionally. I noticed it happened a lot with bigger chop or higher speeds. I found one of the power terminals broken on the main power switch below the throttle. It made contact because of the heavy gauge wire & the tight space but when I hit chop I guess it would loose some connection. Fought with it for 3 weeks. Dealer was helpful & sent me new faria black box etc. I finally found it after looking over just about every wire on the entire boat. Hope this helps. P.S. 03 SANTE

I had a pretty similar problem. Boat would die on a big hit or I'd get a blip in the guages. Was really bad when the heater was running. Brought it in for warrantee and of course they couldn't find the problem. The problem was actually quite simple. Not enought voltage at the helm. Checked it by looking at the voltage at the helm and then the battery and sure enough, there was a difference. So, I can another set of 10 gauge wire from the battery to the helm control module and my problems went away.
This is easy enough to check, might save yourself the trip.
