In the market for a used 210, specifically 2003 and trying to stay local in the midwest. Having a hard time assigning value to the midwest/northeast rarity markup these boats usually get. Wanted to stay below 30k when its all said and done but finding that most clean boats that have been cared for around 500 hours or less won't drop much below 32-33k. Poor time to buy or midwest market lagging to catch up with the southern states?

Might just be that it is the summer time.... I mean think about someone getting rid of a boat they use every weekend, vs. getting rid of it sayyyy October or November when they are looking at 6+ months of boat payments, storage fees and insurance... and zero use. They might be more willing to lower the price then, but now you buy a boat and know you are months away from using it. difficult balance.
Another thing is maybe expand the search, if you find a boat that is not so local to you, some one here maybe more local to it and can check it out. Then you can make a road trip out of getting it, or have it shipped and still possibly come out ahead.

You can always offer $30k and see if they will take it. Seems like 30-33k is the range for a well taken care of 03ish 210. I found a meticulously maintained 03 w/ about 850 hours in Arkansas and we got it for 30. Don't give up your search. Use www.searchtempest.com and search for air 210, super air 210, sante 210, air nautiqe 210, air nautique, 2003 nautique. It will search through all of the Craigslist ads within whatever mileage of your location. Seems like onlyinboards is typically people wanting premium money for their boats but I'm sure some steals can be found if you're lucky.

I would agree with the above statements. Buying mid summer in Midwest area is tough. People know the market is slim and like mentioned usually have their super clean boat priced a little high to sell to the "right" buyer, but not necessarily give it away. Sep/October is best time to buy. People start thinking winterization and storage costs and start to deal. On a side note used boat prices are going up. I sold my 2000 XStar last August , showroom gelcoat, 1200hrs, new upholstery, LTR engine, 3k factory ballast and complete Wetsounds inside, towers, and amps for 24k. I basically started having a bidding war on the way up in price due to condition and proximity. It didn't last a week on onlyinboards.
I would say 30-32k is right in line where a clean 03 mid to low hour SANTE should be

I looked at the white one. It was originally listed as 150 hours, I looked at it, then found this:

Then the owner remembered the gauge had been changed. Seemed plausible, but made me decide to walk away.
Either way, there is a midwest mark up, but in general past July 4th, it's almost season ending. People are trying to get rid of their boats in preparation for end of the year.

I ended up putting a deposit on this one today:

2003 is apparently the year to buy. This one is one owner, very clean. Looked better in person than the pictures.

Indyxc, did you end up checking it out in person? I sent my buddy to take a look at it and he walked away unimpressed with the gel coat condition for what they were asking, but could be just his distaste for dealerships in general. I ended up going out of state and buying pe4me's 2006 sante, couldn't be happier.

Interesting take. I did see it in person and thought the gel coat was prety clean but they said it had just been detailed. Outside the 3 gel nicks and the rub marks underneath from the bunks it is very clean condition. Interior is mint minus the middle sun pad. Best part is boat only has 315 hours which really for me is value in reselling the boat if I decided not to keep it. Which boat did you buy and how much did you pay? I just sold my mastercraft x2 pickle fork and this is my downgrade lol.Last edited by Indyxc; 08-16-2015, 10:52 AM.
