The thermastat will control the engine temps, although, I agree with j2nh, it *seems* the closed cooled engines stay in a more consistent range.

On a different note, whoever said the 200 peeps were excited by the H5, is that due to the lighter weight of the engine helping the wake?

I can see no logical reason to go backwards from semi-closed to open except cost and trying to up value salt water versions.

Exactly, which is why I don't understand this move. Makes little sense unless it is all about cost with open cooling being less expensive.
