    Overflow Ballast info

Hey guys, new G23 owner here, well 2 months ago. I have read several other of the other threads about additional ballast but I was hoping to find someone with detailed instructions/pictures of their jobs. I know it's going to take forever to fill everything but I'm too lazy to run all over the boat filling bags.

I think I'm going to go with the 1100 Ronix bags in the rear (unless someone recommends otherwise) and do some sort of a P&P configuration in the bow. (an 1100 triangle bag) Any help is appreciated.

I too am interested in this. Talked to my dealer and another several hours away about the install...I recv'd 2 different install plans.
Really wish Nautique had a PnP like my previous Malibu.

I am torn between bags I fill with a std. over-the-side pump OR a Y-off valve off the main system OR an overflow system(fills 1st bag then is overflows into 2nd bag.

    Opinions?
    pics?

Y valves after the port/starboard OEM pumps fellas. One to each 1100 in the trunks.

Over flows on those Are accomplished by Y'ing in on the bilge thru hulls on each side.

No additional holes to drill anywhere, works flawlessly, clean and simple bulletproof setup.. Downside to this approach is fill/drain times. You gotta fill OEMs then fill aux bags. Drain aux bags then OEMs.

I've posted up my setup on here at least 5 times with pics. Perhaps you can convince Jeff to make it a sticky. G surf setup once you get your installed will be the next set of questions, again needs to be made a sticky.

so basiclly 6 "Y"s (2 drain, 2 fill, 2 overflow), 9 hose clamps, 20-30ft of hose and 2 bags will get the job done?

2 manual Y valves to divert after the OEM pumps to fill and drain the aux bags. 2x ~10ft runs of hose from the Y valves down by the batteries back to the trunks

2 runs of ~6-8ft, up to 2 Y splice fittings prior to the bilge thru hull.

          So 2 manual Y valves

          2 Y splices

          ~40ft of hose
          ~20ish? Hose clamps

Fittings to connect into and from your bags

Heavy Zip ties to keep hoses in places

Ryan it's weird Blanton installed yours with valves. He did mine and it is just a true overflow setup. Is there a benefit to the valves versus and overflow setup?

Hey guys, got a question. So I put a y valve on the factory pumps and ran a 10ft section of hose back to the rear trunks to my eight.3 bags (with quick connect fittings). Everything fills fine, I just turn the valve after the factory bags fill, then it fills my additional bags.

The problem I have, after I drain the additional bags, they are refilling without me turning the pumps on (siphon I assume). I turned the valve the other way and it siphoned filled my factory bag too! What did I do? I can understand how the additional bags are siphoning, but why the factory bags?

I didn't run a vent line on the additional bags, I just burp them manually as they fill. Is that the problem?

              I hope that made sense
