ZO or PP in an older boat?

I'm looking to add some speed control to my '99 Sport solely for the purpose of improving new drivers' capabilities. It appears as though the price difference is minimal with the wake editions. Which one is more user friendly? Easier to install? More reliable?

Keeping in mind we're looking for repeatability, not tournament accuracy. If that makes any sense.

Zero off only works on boats with drive by wire throttle. You would have to switch out your engine to use zero off.
