2001 SANTE Fair Price

Hi, I'm looking at a 2001 SANTE linked below. Can someone give me an idea of a fair price for this? The pictures make it look super clean, it appears loaded, and it comes with a really nice trailer, but he's asking $30k. I know condition is more important for price, but $30k sounds steep for being a 2001 with 640 hours. I've seen this boat on the market for a while now, so I can't be the only one that thinks this. He's located close by, so I'll probably take a visit soon.

looks like a nice boat in great shape. i don't think he's too terribly far off on price. I think 26K would be about tops if I were in the market though. maybe a bit less considering the season we're entering.

its a clean boat with lots of board racks, and the digital gauges have already been changed out which is nice. is a good looking trailer too. that said, the sticker on the back of the sun pad tells you the vinyl is coming apart on it. and while the gauge says 640 hours, you can assume that is the lowest estimate since you can never really know the true hours. they're probably right, but you can tell the seller that too. go take a look at it and if you like it, 26 - 27K tops. if he's smart he'll take it ...

The hours on that boat are.... 640 plus.... that the stock hours where when it capped out.
I would say the boat has more like.... 800 to 1200.
I need to start telling people that tells super sport I am selling has 95 hours... and I got the boat with 40 hours 3 years ago (non stock hours meter in mine).

Fresh water flush and galvanized trailer could be an indicator of salt or brackish water use. As the others mentioned that gauge with the hour meter is not original and likely only showing the hours since it was installed. You should be able to scroll thru the perfect pass menu (go to PP site for instructions) to find the hours it has registered, if that gauge was factory installed then it could possibly tell you the true hours on the boat. Priced too high IMO

Pp was not stock, it was after the fact or it would be in middle. It was mostly added when anolag gauges got added. No speedo, just pp.

Thanks for the input, everyone! This is definitely good to know. I'll check the PP for the actual hours. If they're different, I'll walk; I don't like dishonestly like that. Fortunately the boat is so close that there's basically no effort to check it out.

If seller is 2nd owner, he might not know that it was relaced.

Check the PP regardless, it will give you another point of reference. There really is no absolute way to determine if the PP was there from new, replaced or added at some point anyways.

Pp was an opt on these boats, but I think they would have has the two digital stock gauges along with it. Then when the digital ones would go out, there would be a hole in the dash. I would say, when they when bad, could have been under warranty , and the Pp would have been quoted for 3 or 400 more then just putting in replacement ones, so I would bet the Pp and tacs hours are close to the same.
